Title: Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Description: Do YOU have all the Djinn?

Chrowme - May 25, 2003 11:08 PM (GMT)
If you have any tips or strategies about this game, feel free to tell me. A question I ask is do you have all 18 Djinn?

bunnygirl - May 27, 2003 02:41 AM (GMT)
you can probably find the location of all the Djinn at gamefaqs.com. as for strategy, youll need to be more specific.

Zephyrion - May 27, 2003 02:52 PM (GMT)
You don't have to tell him where to find a guide; he bought one. Naturally, he's got all 18, and he's just checking to see if anyone else has them. The gamefaq link was good for everyone else, though.

I wish I did, but I'm getting it today probably. so if I find anything, I'll post it here. :)

Here's one strategy: spend lots of time in the original Golden Sun until you have all the Djinni and all the sweetest weapons. That way, when you carry over your saved game, the Lost Ages file will become greatly enhanced.

Wicked Mace is awesome, if you have the curse-lifting item. My Mia had that plus the Thunder Crown. Chrowme's using my saved game to upgrade his Lost Ages file. For some reason, Mia seems to still be cursed, even though she's got the anti-curse thing. Is that a glitch? Or does one anti-curse item lift one curse?

Chrowme - May 28, 2003 10:56 PM (GMT)
Sorry, bro! I checked my game recently, and I noticed that I unequipped Mia's curse lifting item. Sorry for any trouble this may have caused. Anyways, did anybody get the Sol Blade? It's one of the best weapons in the game. Just out of interest, does anybody have a strategy for beating Dullahan? That's that only thing that I CAN'T beat. :D

LadySuicune - June 9, 2003 05:33 PM (GMT)
I just got Golden Sun, so I probably won't be able to help much here.

Articunist - June 9, 2003 08:38 PM (GMT)
lol. I got the game and got a prima guide. I defeat the crab boss thiggy  . This game is really long though. Who I'm kidding pokemon G/S was longer than this.

Chrowme - June 11, 2003 11:44 PM (GMT)
I don't remember any crabby type boss. But hey, I haven't played Golden Sun in a long time, so I can't say there isn't.
(spent too much time on Pokemon Sapphire.)

Stinger - June 12, 2003 04:32 PM (GMT)
I really want to get this game..... wait!
*checks piggy bank*
only three dollars more!

Chrowme - June 12, 2003 09:30 PM (GMT)
Don't worry, Stinger! The game will be worth every single cent! It's one of the best games I've ever played!

limweijie - June 15, 2003 09:16 AM (GMT)
How do u defeat Briggs and the sea fighters. What items or anythin can defeat them.

Chrowme - June 15, 2003 07:47 PM (GMT)
Try using your Djinn first, then summon your Djinn that are on Standby. That's what I did! :D

limweijie - June 19, 2003 06:26 AM (GMT)
Thanks!

limweijie - June 19, 2003 06:30 AM (GMT)
Now i've completed air rock, and went to Garoh,i went to the wolf house and i had the Djinn.Where should i go next?

Chrowme - June 26, 2003 04:21 PM (GMT)
You should go back to Mikasalla to get the Mars Djinni Spark. You can get it by using scoop between the chicken and the sheep in the southwest corner of the town. Then you'll find a ladder that you climb down and then you go through the tunnel until you reach the exit. You should be on the other side of the blockade of houses. Now, go up and you'll see Spark and you don't need to fight it to get it. If you don't know which direction to go, check your map. After you're done, just let me know, 'cause there's still one last place to go on that island!

limweijie - June 29, 2003 07:13 AM (GMT)
I have done your quest now what is the island, tell me. :D

Chrowme - July 2, 2003 11:06 PM (GMT)
It's the same island...
Anyways, your journey is to the Osenia Caverns to get a new summon, Megaera.
Go north from Mikasalla and go beyond the patch where you should have found the Mercury Djinn Sour. Continue on and squeeze through the mountains and you should be able to find the cavern. Once inside, you should see an x marked crack where you use Scoop. The rest is self explanatory! :D

bunnygirl - July 3, 2003 03:26 PM (GMT)
well, finally bought it. that makes 13 GBA games :D
that code for Gold really blew me away, there were so many characters...luckily i only made one simple typo that i had to correct.

Chrowme - July 3, 2003 05:36 PM (GMT)
It's great that you've got the game now! Maybe you could help me when limweijie asks for more "guidance"... <_<

Tricked-out Arcanine - July 11, 2003 04:39 AM (GMT)
Does anybody know where to get the summon tablet of Catastrophe?

limweijie - July 13, 2003 08:53 AM (GMT)
I know where. It is in the Islet Cave! :D

Tricked-out Arcanine - July 14, 2003 04:03 AM (GMT)
Thnx alot ill have to work on it! :D

Tricked-out Arcanine - July 14, 2003 06:33 AM (GMT)
Can anyone tell me what the ultimate sword is?

Zephyrion - July 16, 2003 08:41 AM (GMT)
Don't double post; you can edit your posts, ya know...

I think the most powerful sword is the Sol Blade, though I'm not sure where to get it. If you missed out on the Wicked Mace and the Crystal Rod from the original Golden Sun, you're missing out... Both are perfect for spell casters; they don't depend on huge attacks, rather, they wield these "wicked" side effects... Bane's poison and instant OHKO aren't bad side effects, wouldn't you say?

The_Orphened_Absol - July 17, 2003 12:16 AM (GMT)
the sol blade is in mars lightohouse

i have

it unleashs meggido(Very powerful)

Yeah, it IS in the Islet Cave, but do you have the Lil' Turtle? If not, you can not get there. Gwahahaahaaha! And, can you beat Sentinel? If not, then go home and raise your party before even thinking of challenging him (there are tough enemies along the way too).

limweijie - July 20, 2003 08:34 AM (GMT)
You will need this psynergy: Mind Read, Teleport, Move, Frost, Sand, Tremor

The way to Islet Cave.
Here we go:

To be able to trigger the entrance for the Sea of Time Isle, you first must
complete a mini animal quest. It's fairly simple but you must travel the whole
Great Eastern Sea to achieve it.

The first island you need to visit is the artic island, E Tundara Islet,
found due south of Yallam, near the Tundara area. When you enter the island
you will see a penguin looking over to the other side of the island. Use Mind
Read on the penguin to see what he wants. Go save his friend by jumping over
the moving rocks, climb up the ladder and push the log down. Then move or
push the female penguin back over to the other side. Mind Read the pair and
recieve a pretty stone. Before you exit the island be sure to enter the
building to grab a lucky medal.

Your next island stop will be the island named SE Angara Islet, it is located
just west of Izumo island. As you enter the island you will see two treasure
hunters hinting on the whereabouts of treasure islet. They don't provide much
else. Now use Move to move the northmost crate down and line it up with the
other crate, then use Frost on the water puddle. Then go up the stairs and
push the other crate down on the crate. Hop over and Mind Read the bird.
Give the bird the pretty stone in exchange for a red handkerchief. Before you
exit the place, hop over to the boat and grab a lucky medal in one of the
crates.

Now with the red handkerchief in your posession proceed toward N Osenia Islet,
located due north of Alhafra. Use sand on the sandy area to get to the cow.
Mind Read the cow and exchange your red handkerchief for a bottle of milk
from the cow. Before you exit the place go inside the building and grab a
lucky medal in one of the jars.

With the bottle of milk, be sure not to drink it or you will never get to the
sea of time islet(hehe). Your next destination is the West Indra Islet,
located due north of Gondawan Cliffs. When you're in town go around town and
grab the lucky medal in the barrel just west of the hut. Then proceed to hop
over to the dog and talk to him with Mind Read. The dog being grateful for
the milk that you place in the water will give you a little turtle, which
was probably hidden in his stomach before. Take that turtle and exit town.

Finally your at the last leg of quest. Your destination is the Sea of Time
Islet. Located just north of the Apojji Islet. Go around the house and Mind
Read the turtle and give him his mate. The turtle will be grateful and will
take you to his "secret" area which is the Islet Cave entrance. You now can
access the Islet Cave anytime you wish. Just Mind Read the turtle to travel
to and from there.

Once you're inside the cave proceed to the first teleport spot. Do not use the
teleport yet. Instead head west and log roll yourself over to the chest and
grab the turtle boots. Then log roll back and head east and jump over a stone,
then go inside the door. Log roll over to the east, head south hop over a
stone and log roll with the log going north. You will run into the Venus Djinn
Meld. He's not that hard, what djinn battle is? Beat him and log roll your
way back down. Now head all the way north and log roll on the northmost log
westward and go into the door. Then log roll off the first log you see to
head west and grab the rusty staff from the chest.

Now backtrack your way back to the first teleport spot you were at earlier.
You can use Retreat to get there if you don't mind wasting 6 points. Now if
you have the Teleport Lapis from the Mars Lighthouse, use Teleport to
transport yourself across to the other side. Go inside the door. The path
here is the easiest to go through, It is 5 straight hallway rooms. Just keep
going north. When you are heading through the hallway, you will notice a
moving statue. Use Tremor on it to reveal the Mercury Djinn Serac. Fight and
defeat it. At the end of the fifth hallway, prepare yourself for a boss
fight.

The Boss is called Sentinel, and it heals itself 200hp a turn, and status
effects doesn't affect it that much. So put as many djinns on standby except
for Flash, Shade, and Granite, and just summon it to death. The boss has
around 9000hp and isn't really that hard to defeat. Having Flash, Shade, and
Granite will greatly increase your protection; just make sure you have one
free a turn. When you beat it, it will give you around 10.5k exp and
6000coins. Proceed to grab the Summon Tablet he was protecting. Now you have
Catastrophe at your disposal! :D

limweijie - July 27, 2003 08:36 AM (GMT)
Hey, I am stuck on Gaia Rock. Please help me :( . My Ivan does not know whirlwind because everybody has 4 Djinns each:

Felix:4 Venus Djinns

Ivan: 1 Venus and 3 Jupiter Djinns
Piers: 4 Mercury Djinns

Rayquaza - July 27, 2003 08:04 PM (GMT)
tell me what kind of game it is,maybe ill buy it

Chrowme - July 27, 2003 10:08 PM (GMT)
It's a Role Playing Game (RPG). It has an incredible story line and takes a long time to beat. You use Djinn for attacks as well as Psynergy, a type of magic. Djinn are little creatures that have four different types: Venus (Earth), Mercury (Water), Jupiter (Wind) and Mars (Fire). What else do you need to know?

Rayquaza - July 27, 2003 10:16 PM (GMT)
pokemon and dragon warrior monsters 2 are too,is it like them, catching "beeings"

well...sort of. you see, the Djinn were little creatures whos energy was released at the eruption of a volcano called Mt.Aleph. You use them in battle for things such as attacking, rising attack, rising defense, or healing. also to summon greater monsters. In TLA, you can have combinations to summon even more powerful summons. The most powerful are Iris and Catastrophe.

bunnygirl - July 30, 2003 10:06 PM (GMT)
the Golden Sun games can be best compared to the Final Fantasy games, in my opinion they are very similar and undoubtedly more similar to them than a game like Pokemon.

LadySuicune - July 31, 2003 06:01 PM (GMT)
yeah, Golden Sun is really similar to Star Ocean 2 for PS2. It's similar in that both games let you aquire characters and choose your destiny. classic examples of RPG.

Rayquaza - August 3, 2003 10:47 AM (GMT)
I dont like final fantasy that much,i'm still wondering if i'll buy it

limweijie - August 3, 2003 12:23 PM (GMT)
Can someone tell me how to defeat Moapa and the Knights? I kept losing because their Bramble seed and the crystal powder is too powerful for me to defeat them.
:( I've even tried summon. By the way, Moapa has how many HPs and the knights has how many HPs each?

LadySuicune - August 11, 2003 09:04 PM (GMT)
I have yet to get GS:TLA so I don't know what to tell you. my best advice would be to train as much as possible and build defense.

Rayquaza - August 11, 2003 10:35 PM (GMT)
wow,ill just keep it with pokemon and dragon warrior monsters

Disaster Absol - August 27, 2003 04:46 PM (GMT)
Hmm.. I am missing two or so, but I DO have Iris, the last summon, impossible, huh?
