Title: Create Your OWN pokemon!
Description: We know you want too!

Tetrall - May 16, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
I know EVERYONE want's their very own pokemon... so here's your chance. Your DREAM pokemon. Here's a few rules:

1. Were not going for Mr. Superpower here... if it's gonna be powerful, make sure it's story and history are just as powerful.

2. Keep it within the game... no making up new types, like "Gravity" type pokemon.

3. Have fun with it!

Zephyrion - May 16, 2003 04:15 AM (GMT)
Oooo! Can we make more than one? I mean, just in case we come up with better ones?

Tetrall - May 16, 2003 04:39 AM (GMT)
Alright Here's my Example Pokemon:

Basili's History: Basili is a normal type pokemon. It's well known for it's dragon-like body and appearance... as well as it's firey nature. This little pokemon is considered to be the hardest fighter of any of the pokemon and will break any pokeball thrown at it. It lives most of it's life within it's tribe and will sacrifice itself for the tribes benifit.

type: Normal
trait: Fury Heart - cannot be captured by a pokeball, cannot be removed from battle.

Tactical Info: As you can imagine, this creature isn't easy to raise, once placed in battle it cannot be removed. It is the equivalent of a seedot in statistical value.

Basikin: The evolved form of Basili. When a Basili is removed from it's breathern for long enough, it will evolve into a Basikin. Basikin are much larger and faster than their first evolution. They have been known to become Alpha's in Basili tribes, using their powerful breath weapons to defeat very powerful foes.

Type: Normal
Traits: Fury Heart - same as above.
To evolve: level 25
Tactical Info: This pokemon gains access to three new attacks upon evolution. Dragon Breath, Ice Breath, and firebreath... it gains no other attacks though. Equivalent to a

Aquaking: If the Basikin does not rejoin it's clan it may eventually become a Aquaking. Aquaking's are considered rarer than even the dragonite and few have ever seen the pokemon. However, there are reports of Lugia swimming alongside another mighty pokemon described to be Aquaking. Aquaking's have large sad eyes and are shaped much like Lugia... only larger and much more streamline.

Type: Water
Traits: True Heart - Status Locked, gains a little HP every turn.
To evolve: Evolves at level 38 in a water area.
Tactical Info: POWERFUL! can be taught all water-type and Electric Type T/Ms. Cannot learn fly.

LandCaster: Another evolution. VERY powerful, very fast, trading it's lizard body for a snakes. It burrows though the ground and is know to jump from the earth nearly 50 feet in the air to get at prey. It's eyes are golden orbs and body is covered in hard diamond-like scales that can absorb sunlight.

Type:Fire/Ground
To Evolve: Level 42 in a Cave.
Traits: Burning Heart - Status Locked, enemy loses a little HP every turn.
Tactical Info: Learns just about any HM or T/M.

Bytherom: This evolution has only been achieved once in recorded history. It is unclear if the pokemon was trained or came by it naturally but is a truly awesome sight. Slightly Larger than a Gyarados it's body is covered in purple scales that have violet and indigo undertones. It's back is covered in large, clear, spines that flash red and blue constantly.

Type: fire/ice
To Evolve: Level 48, must not have taken either Landcaster or Aquaking Forums but must been given the chance to take those forms.
Traits: Kind Heart - Status Lock, increased accuracy by 25%

Alright... This pokemon isn't much use until it evolves into Bytherom, Landcaster, or Aquaking. Bytherom is a formula of opposites and therefore is give a few special attacks all it's own.

Anipode - 110 power /100 accuracy

Damage is considered both fire and water (STAB for both) and will hit an enemy respectively (In other words, a pokemon that was immune to fire and weak against water would take a massive hit from the water half).

Air Bomb - 110 power/ 75 accuracy

damage is considered an Ice Attack. The pokemon creates a ball of liquid oxygen that it hurls at it's target... the ball detonates and has a 20% chance of freezing it's target.

Song - (works like the original BABY!)

Restore - heals Half HP.

Stats: Has stats comperable to Kingdra

There's the first pokemon... next!

So there's my pokemon...

Tetrall - May 16, 2003 04:40 AM (GMT)
that's the point! :) make your OWN pokemon!

Latios 007 - May 16, 2003 11:32 AM (GMT)
Okay, here it goes......

Name: Laneri

History: Laneri is welll known for it's healing powers. Few people have ever seen this pokemon, and if you make it evolve, the local tribe will consider you to be a god. Laneri has indigo scales, beautiful green eyes, small feathery wings, useless at the time, but wait till it evolves, and a tail that moves at lightning speeds to hit an opponent. If you are hit with it there is little change you could fair well against it. Laneri is only as big as a Treeko. Laneri is very loving, wait till you see the evolve form though. Talk about in need of a major attitude ajustment. Don't expect it to have healing powers when you first get it, you need a Healing Stone. Feed it to Laneri and it will have healing powers!!! Oh, yeah, Laneri is able to pass through the real world to the spirit world.

Type: Dragon/Dark
Trait: Dragon Angel-it has healing powers that heal any wound, can pass over to the spirit realm without dieing.

Attacks: Rage, Ember, Scratch, Water Gun.

Evolves from Laneri to Irenik at level 30.

HP Moves: Cut and Flash. (they get better as it evovles!)

Name: Irenik

History: Irenik is a very loyal pokemon. This is because it learns to respect you when you make it evolve from a Laneri to an Irenik, because many people have never done that before. Irenik now has sky blue scales, violet eyes, and massive feathery wings. It is about as big as Dragonite. (yes I know that is a very big size change.) Irenik can look an opponent in the eye, and then the opponent will run away and never challenge it again. This is not because it is mean, well I guess it is partly, but the other half is because it will do anything to protect you. And again, we're still waiting for a healing stone, but in the mean time you can still have fun passing through dimensions!

Type: Dragon/Dark
Trait: Evil Glance-no one dares challenge Irenik.

Attacks: Outrage, Flamethrower, Aurora Beam, Bite.

Evolves from Irenik to Aeriane at level 55.

HP Moves: Cut, Flash, Fly, Surf, and Strength. (told you they'd get better!)

Name Aeriane

History: Aeriane is like all the rare pokemon put together. It is so rare, that nobody has ever seen it, and it is common for people to say that it is just a legend. Aeriane will take you anywhere, it will stick to you like a fly on flypaper. Aeriane has changed colors like it's previous form did. Now it has night black scales, sea-green eyes, and black humongous feathery wings. It's just over the height of a 7 story building, and is as light as a Dratini. It can carry any load, no matter how heavy it is. For example, it can carry 10 Snorlaxes without breaking a sweat. Now this is when you find the healing stone, so now you can teach it how to heal. The best part about it is it can heal your other pokemon too! Not in battle though, it can only heal itself in battle.

Dragon/Dark/Fighting
Trait: Super Strength-it might be able to move quickly, and is slender, but it has amazing strength not even Machamp can compare to.

Attacks: Cross Chop, Ice Beam, Crunch, Healing Power.

HP Moves: Cut, Flash, Fly, Surf, Strength, Wirlpool, Waterfall, and Dive.

Well, that's my dream pokemon. Do you like?

Impressive Picture... wish I could post mine but I don't have a host OR a scanner :(

bunnygirl - May 18, 2003 02:14 AM (GMT)
dammit...when i scanned this i cut off an important part of the pic. sh*t.

anyway..this is Centivol. the name refers to the Italian words centopiedi di volo, which means flying centipede. you cant see it because its the part that was cut out, but it has many bristly legs on its tail.
i drew this way back in 1999 or 2000. Centivol is a Bug-type...and Flying maybe, or even Psychic...i dont remember what i decided it would be. in fact i didnt even name it then. i just thought of the name now.
i drew this when i was experimenting with trees and perspective. the leaves suck, the flowers are lame. ive come along way from drawing crap like that. originally this was drawn in colored pencil with some marker. i touched it up on the computer just now though.

anyway about the actual Pokemon...its not a legendary or a power horse. i find those soo lame-_- when i drew it i had some info on it, like how it caught food with its tail...thats all i remember.

for some reason there's something wrong with the pic I posted so it's sort of blurry. i don't know how i can fix it, though.

bunnygirl - May 19, 2003 02:35 AM (GMT)
oh yeah i forgot to mention. this thread is in the wrong forum.

Tetrall - May 20, 2003 07:31 AM (GMT)
Why is it in the wrong forum? I read the forum quite carefully and
This seems to be the correct area for GAME related Pokemon ideas.

This belongs here because of two reasons:

A) I asked that it be placed in GAME context so that it would
SPECIFICALLY belong here.

B) All the posts seem to be posted in a level based way. Would
you suggest I put it in the "Other Games" forum where it would
rarely be seen? Or would it belong in the "Pokemon" main board?

If your going to tell me not to post something somewhere could
you please tell me where it does belong so that I don't go
posting something similar later in the same area?

Thank You.

Zephyrion - May 20, 2003 03:37 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately, a post like this really doesn't belong in either forum. Making up Pokémon is related to the general Pokémon world, but giving them moves is also part of the gaming perspective. I guess the only problem with it being in the "game" forum is that these Pokémon aren't actually in the "game". I can move this topic if bunnygirl really has a problem with it, but otherwise it's fine by me.

bunnygirl - May 20, 2003 08:35 PM (GMT)
actually people, this belongs in Fan Stuff. its a thread about fan-created Pokemon. would you please move it to that forum, Zephyrion.

Zephyrion - May 21, 2003 09:55 PM (GMT)
Good point. Moving....

(yay! my first move!
*throws celebration*

Chrowme - May 21, 2003 11:09 PM (GMT)
This is fun! Here goes my new pokemon! B)

learns: Any possible Dragon/Fire move as well as almost every TM.

Tetrall - May 24, 2003 02:46 AM (GMT)

a pokemon that looks like a red pepper would be great.

(fire/poison)

redipep (from red pepper)

redipep would then evolve to chipotleaf (from chipotle)

redipep and chipotleaf would have an attack that is specifically made for that pokemon only.

-redipep-spice explosion.

spice explosion would have an accuracy of 100 and a power of 130. it attacks the foe 2 times and at the last attack it would poison the foe yet lower your HP by half of its maximum HP. its a slam type attack that explodes poison all over the foe but has an affect such as take down on you, except stronger.

-chipotleaf-hot spring

hot spring would have an accuracy of 85 and power of 100. it attacks the foe once and has a 10% chance of making it faint automatically. it shoots burning hot water out of its spores on the surface of its skin.

Aureon is another Evee evolution that can only be obtained by raising it to level 40 in the Ice cavern inside Shoal Cave.

Aureon is a Psychic-Ice type Pokemon who supposedly cannot be melted. It can disappear and reappear all over the place or stay invisible so long as there is and Aurora in the sky.

Stinger - May 25, 2003 08:54 PM (GMT)
ohh.... i like that. Very creative! I love ice, and psychic.

Chrowme - May 25, 2003 10:48 PM (GMT)
Thanks, Stinger.

Another Pokemon is Wharblaze, a Dark-Fire Pokemon that incinerates his foes with dark fire. Dark fire not only burns you but after the burn you fell an ominous and eerie chill. Wharblaze is in the Fiery Path only after you become the Champion and have Mightyena first in your party.

Another made up Pokemon is Chargon. It's the evolved form of Charizard and is a Dragon/Fire type Pokemon. It has the special effect Levitate, so it partially acts like a Flying Pokemon. Charizard must be at Level 90 to evolve into Chargon. Chargon's stats are up there with the legendaries, but takes a lot of patience to get to Level 90.

Hmm..... Dragon Fire's a great combo, especially once you add Levitate. Fire counters Dragon's defensive weakness to Ice, while Dragon counters Fire's defensive weakness to Water. Levitate prevents Ground attacks from hitting, which essentially removes Chargon's weakness to Ground types. The only weakness I see defensively is to Rock types. However, Rock types are usually slow as a rock (surprising!) and lack any useable Special Defense Stats. A Dragon Claw would take care of them easily.

I like how Chargon fits into the Charmander line. First, Charm evolves into a stronger Fire-type, Charmeleon. Then, Charmeleon trades its horrendous weakness to Ground for a horrendous weakness to Electricity and a neutrality to Ice. Finally, it turns its Electric weakness to a resistance, turns Water neutral, and gains an attack that isn't resisted by Rock types.

Another nice feature of Charagon is that both of its types are Special. That means that only its Special Attack stat needs to be high in order for it to fully utilize both of its STAB capable attack types. (Both Dragon and Fire are Special Elements as opposed to Physical.) Charizard, however, needs to have a High Physical Attack as well as a High Special Attack in order for it to do well with it's STABed moves.

I had hoped that the RuSa Legendary roster would include Dragon-elemental dual types. What do they give us? Regi? I have yet to see how the Regi compare to the dream creatures Game Freak should have made.

I don't see how that type alignment helps. Electricity doesn't help against anything Psychic is Offensively/Defensively weak to, and the Psychic type doesn't help against anything Electricity is Offensively/Defensively weak to. I was hoping for another interesting analysis.....
