Title: PP Wasters

I just realized something. Reaper, remember what you said about using Protect + Substitute + Pressure to waste PP? Well, what if you gave that Pokemon Leftovers? The way I calculate it, you will be able to stall for a whopping 15 turns, with 3/16 total HP and 0-4 left over. Perhaps, if you couple this with Rest or Recover...

Actually, the best pp waster out there is suicune....too bad it is a legendary. Its Def is on par with skarmory, and its SpDef is the same as its Def. To make matters worse, it has no physical weakness, and can increase its special defence by using calm mind. It only has 2 weaknesses: grass and electric, both of which would not do much damage after using calm mind.(unless its a critical hit of course)

After using calm mind a couple of times, your SpAtt would be sky-high, and surf would do ALOT of damage. No hazers/pseudohazers can survive it now. Give it ice beam against dragonite.

The last slot could be rest.

yay im got a suicune...

damn then whats it doing with bubblebeam, aurora beam, gust, and safeguard?

HypeBeamer - December 23, 2004 05:40 AM (GMT)
Haha...but wouldn't Crobat outspeed this guy? Calm Mind doesn't kick up speed.

Reaper - December 23, 2004 07:55 AM (GMT)
And how would crobat with its low hp and defences survive a STABed and calm minded surf?
Even if you use calm mind on the turn crobat is switched in, just ice beam it the next turn....it should be dead. However, you would have to re-calm mind if it uses haze.

HypeBeamer - December 23, 2004 04:36 PM (GMT)
But since Crobat is faster, it would be able to Haze first. Even if it falls to Ice Beam, you now stand a chance to stop Suicune from abusing Calm Mind again.

Reaper - December 24, 2004 01:41 AM (GMT)
Yup, but you would be sacrificing one pokemon to do so. Moreover, by switching out and using haze, that gives suicune 2 turns to heal from leftovers. After the haze, it might KO crobat with ice beam, and then start calm minding again.
Thats how cheap legendaries get.

Woohoo! Now I am glad I picked Charmander as my starter! I love ch33p legendaries

HypeBeamer - December 27, 2004 06:00 PM (GMT)
Haha...I got Squirtle, so I get a second chance at Raikou (have Colosseum). Which brings me to my second point...how do you get your legendary dog? Is it automatically unleashed into the wilds when you beat the Elite Four? Does it run away like in Gold/Silver? And if it does, does it have Roar?

kyodongrougre - December 29, 2004 02:35 AM (GMT)
good thing it doesnt have roar

bad thing you dont get fast balls

where you are in the game you can get a raikou

and it runs away

kurt - March 18, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
