Well, where were you on 9.11? How did/do you feel about it? Share thoughts & other things on 9.11 here.

I was in school on that day, my dad picked me up early and I found out what happened. I wasn't really spooked or anything, knowing this kind of thing happens everyday in other countries. Just now it was the U.S.

Personally, I think 9.11 gave us a little bit of a reality check.

yea it did, i was in school in 6th grade and i didnt know what it meant cause i didnt know what the world trade centers were... no offence to americans or any relatives to people who died in there, but america is making a really big deal over it even 3 years later. things that bad and worst happen in other countries all the time and america never covers those stories, they just continue to feel sorry for themselves. well thats my take on it. and again, sorry to any i offended.

I'm, like, totally offended.

I agree completely. That's why I just rolled my eyes when I saw this thread.

Ohh, so an America tragedy taht killed thousands of people wouldn't effect you in 3 years? This could be a attack that will be remembered for years, decades.

Explain how the U.S. has made a big deal over the largest terror attack in the history of this country?

Yes, I agree the U.S has it way easier as far as security and terror goes. But you can't expect different reactions from people that hadn't experienced anything worse in their lives.

If you'd actually read what was posted:

things that bad and worst happen in other countries all the time and america never covers those stories, they just continue to feel sorry for themselves.

Think about it.

Stinger: That's true. But I know that if I had someone I knew that died during 9/11, I woudn't want to be reminded of it all the time.

I have read what was said,

Terror attacks in other small countries usually don't kill 3,000 people. America doesn't cover stories! That the media's job, if they dont. oh well. (We did cover the Madrid train bombing, which killed many people. And the Russian school siege.)

We are continuing to think about ourselves when thousands of lives where lost in this situation?Think about it, a plane crashs into you house right now and kills all your family except you. You wouldn't remeber that?!

I just dont see it in your perspective, maybe I never will.

That is an entirely different situation. If you are using that as an example, then you must have been in the World Trade Center when this happened, which of course is unlikely.

what i was trying to say is that americans in general think about themselves and no other countries, they exagurate on every little thing, and they brainwash the citizens to think that the world trate center attacks were the worst thing that has happened forever, which has seemed to work. they dont think outside of the box, if you will.

Heh well, not all Americans. I sure wasn't brainwashed.

i said in general, not all.
