Title: Strider

Stinger - July 15, 2004 04:18 PM (GMT)
Wake up.

(This post has been declared SPAM. I won't delete this thread because it has brought up a good debate.)

Articunist - August 28, 2004 06:34 AM (GMT)
Yeah wake up, enforce some rules around here too. Some censors wouldn't hurt. 25 character limit, this splace has become spammer's heaven. And boot the crappy members, the :dumb: people.

You should be fixing this place instead of being at PC.

Articunist = Old Pimp who funds the rules.

Hey, great idea. There is a serious lack of members here, so lets make the rules more strict and boot some of them out!

Articunist = Moron who has no idea what he's talking about.

Articunist - August 29, 2004 05:40 AM (GMT)
I'm not saying boot all the members. But I am saying get more strict. People will come and see that rules have been implied and the crappy will find the door out when their SPAM world starts to fall apart.

Articunist = Pimp that still funds the rules.

bunnygirl - August 29, 2004 09:36 PM (GMT)
"and boot some of them out!"

Hm, looks like I said some and not all. Personally if I were you I wouldn't suggest booting out stupid members though...I mean, I thought you wanted to be a part of KL.

The reason no one is here is because of the following:

-Serious lack of advertisement. No one will come here if they don't know it exists.

and

-Lack of Pokemon interest. No interest = no reason to join.

Articunist = Blind to the most obvious circumstances.

Articunist - August 29, 2004 11:49 PM (GMT)
I'm not blind, you've just become apart of this era of KL forums. Do you see all the topsites at the bottom of the page. What'd you mean lack of advertisement? Strider's has been advertising.

Its those crazy people who run all the decent ones away. You've become so ingraved with these people you don't want things to change?

Not this KL. The old one, you remember it.

Articunist : Pimp that's still funding the rules.

bunnygirl - August 30, 2004 03:34 PM (GMT)
Well obviously there isn't enough advertising. The key circumstance is one I've already mentioned:

Lack of Pokemon interest.

So being advertised in other Pokemon-related website isn't going to do squat. If you want to help advertise KL, post the banner or link in a website, signature of another forum, etc. Post it where it is going to get some traffic.

It's not the "crazy" people chasing everyone away, if you were chased away for a period of time for that then you are just weak-minded, and not everyone is like that. Hell - morons like QM were part of the reason KL was active because everyone was making fun of him.

And btw, when I said "I thought you wanted to be a part of KL", I was making fun of you; obviously it went right over your head.

You see? This is entertainment to KL members.

You dedicate a lot of time here, only because you have become part of this KL. Lack of Pokemon interest. Have you seen the Netbattle servers lately? Have you seen other pokemon forums, they are thriving because of ongoing pokemon attraction. Pokemon FR and LG are coming out, followed by Emerald. Nintendo is thriving with the new releases of Metriod Prime 2: Echos, Pikimin 2, and a NFL MAdden 2005 version coming to GCN. Not to metion the few millions of people that will anything to buy a new pokemon game on the Nintendo DS.

AND, Nintendo has promised that $1 million will be spent advertising all new pokemon items. I think the last thing that's running members away is lack of pokemon interest.

If it's inactivity or weird members thats running people away, don't blame it on "Lack of Pokemon Interest."

The PokeCommunity has a thousand members and growing. And guess what, they have rules that they enforce. Members like this would've been booted in a second.

bunnygirl - September 3, 2004 04:48 AM (GMT)
Of course there are "thriving" Pokemon forums out there because they are popular. Smaller forums like this one suffer because of the lack of Pokemon interest. Those places might seem like they are "thriving" but I assure you they would be much more populated if there was more interest. Why am I the only one that realizes this?

And again, making the rules more strict will do nothing. There is no one here. Look around. Somehow I doubt if the rules were made more strict people would magically turn up and make this forum active.

Stinger - September 3, 2004 10:24 PM (GMT)
And I don't see, even if we did revise the rules, how you can enforce them without an active Admin.

Reaper - September 4, 2004 05:51 AM (GMT)
And even if you want to enforce the rules, i don't think that now is the best time to enforce it.
Do it when FrLg comes out. Then, we'll need the forums to be presentable in order to get people to join. I doubt anyone would join if all they see are agruements and lame remarks, and that all the posts are irrelevant to the topic, as it is now.
Anyway, this inactiveness is quite normal. Even the PFU forums are not much more active than this.
Wait for FrLg to be released, then we'll try to secure more members.

RayQuaza3 - September 7, 2004 12:04 PM (GMT)
while this dude has a ood point, I sincerely doubt these forums will ever be as populated as they were back when I first joined. There were hundreds of new posts every day back then.

You must be talking about a different forum, because that never happened.

Groudon's Fury - September 10, 2004 11:58 PM (GMT)
I never lost my interest in pokemon...I left because the place was disorganized.

so I got tired of waiting...so...if you can't beat them, throw at them everything you've got.

but im happy...I've got more imprtant things to do...and I love this place how it is...how it always has been.

Unown Albus - September 11, 2004 03:58 AM (GMT)
Well, I'm here to help organize. I'm the Sub Admin and will be helping Strider out with the forum.

Stinger - September 12, 2004 02:05 AM (GMT)
Good to hear.
