According to the latest news updates, there will be war on the site in late January to accompany the release of the TCG.

I got some pretty good weapons... I just need to raise the level and stats of my neopets a bit and I'll be good. I get some bigger and better weapons in the mean time as well.

Its a Tyrannia War. It all coming together in the plot(meridell war, statue in maraqua, mystery island's volcano mysteries.)
