whoa..that's one interesting dream. I'm amazed at all the details!
I posted this on PGamers a long time ago. I had saved it into a document and kept it on VillagePhotos in case it got lost. I was searching for something when I saw this, and decided to read it...it's been so long since I've "played the game" that I forgot most of the things that happened...but reading it refreshed my memory.
I didn't post it on KL because I didn't think it would be suitable for the age range here, but I've changed my mind...although I did cut out one tiny part.
I changed a few things, mostly just capitalizing the beginning of each sentence and putting in punctuation etc., but the biggest problem I fixed was my lack of skill with parallelism (past tense, present tense, past tense, present tense, make up your damn mind!)
I guess this proves that too many cartoons and video games can screw with your mind...
----------------------------------------------------------------
This might not be appropriate for young readers (nevermind, I cut out the unsuitable part anyway).
This is a strange game that only I can play. It's not on any console. It's not available anywhere. It has no name. In fact, it doesn't even exist. But I've played it.
So, what the hell am I talking about? A dream. I've had dreams about the games I've played, but not like this. This was a new game, not like any I've played. Although, the characters are familiar...
I, the main character, am a girl, around 10-12. I resemble Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura. My eyes are brown rather than green. I am dressed in a plain outfit. A dirty, dull pink shirt with a blue cloth belt and capri-like pants and sneakers. I am on a ship. Inside of it actually. It's dark, cool and musty. It is too dark to really see anything. There are a few light sources, I don't know where they are coming from. There are two men in an argument close by. I am afraid of them. They brought me on this ship unwillingly. One man resembles Valmont from Jacky Chan Adventures, and has the same voice. He sounds very angry. He is yelling at a man with black hair and a beard, I don't recognize him at all. I don't know what they are arguing about. All I know is that he is furious with the bearded man and is calling him names. He grabs hold of him and drags him into another part of the ship. He kicks and punches him, swings him by the feet as he bashes his head into some kind of pillar. By now I'm terrified, he is beating up the man severely. I'm shaking with fear, screaming with every collide. I know I have to run. I run to a hole up on a raised area and crawl inside. I recognize the hole from a previous time I've played.
When I emerge, I am on some sort of raised dock. The ship hadn't been moving at all. There are some people in the distance, I know that if they see me they will return me to the ship. So I run fast, down the wooden pathways, and I am free! Bright blue skies, sand, and sidewalks. Trees and people. All of a sudden I am on roller blades. My dog appears and begins to run. It's here the fact it is a game becomes more evident. The movements of the dog are a bit unnatural. I skate after her, occasionally jumping on top of wooden walkways.
Then she's gone, and I am walking down a sidewalk. I see a man walking ahead of me, I don't know who he is, I just know that he is someone I have to be careful with. I speed up to talk to him, and he says something that I don't remember and throws a dollar bill behind him. I try to catch it, but the wind blows it up high and over a stone wall. Either me or the character I am playing as says "O...k...".
Then, I'm not the Sakura-like girl anymore. I am myself. I'm walking with schoolbooks. I'm wearing black dresspants. My ex-boyfriend comes up behind me and says "hi". I hate him, but I know I have to act friendly. I say "hi" back. He hits me in the behind. Normally I would have turned around and slapped him, but I don't. I keep walking, smiling and giving him sly looks. He does it again and again, and then one final hard one. He wanted it to hurt, but it didn't. We stop when we come to the edge of the sidewalk. About a foot below it, water runs through. On the other side, there are two girls. They look about 12. One has short blonde hair, I don't recall what she was wearing. The other girl is black, has her hair in pigtail-bun things and is wearing a purple coat with white fluffy edges. They are telling us to come over there, and not to 'prepare' (which I knew meant taking a breath first). My books are suddenly gone. Only I 'prepare', and we both jump into the water and swim over, reaching out a hand. The blonde girl is reaching out a hand also. We get closer and closer, and when we get there, she only grabs my hand. As she pulls me up she laughs at my ex and says "You were supposed to prepare!" Behind them is a wall, with a small round hole on the bottom. I crawl inside. Again, I am now the Sakura-like girl rather than myself. It's a very tight squeeze. As I inch my way through, I get nervous. I can sense that my ex and the girls are gone. Somehow I get the view out of the end I crawled into (I must have turned the camera or something) and sure enough, they are gone. They are replaced by two men...one of them is the Valmont guy, and the other one is hard to see, but he appears to be wearing some kind of long hooded black robe. They are standing toward one side, watching me crawl through the hole with their arms crossed. They look calm and relaxed. The Valmont guy says "We're going to rape you." I am terrified. His voice, the way he said it. He was so sure he was going to do it, he didn't worry about it at all. I turn the view back to in front of me and crawl as fast as I can. When I crawl out, I see that I am in a deserted, closed-in area. Straight ahead of me there is a black gate, which I know is my destination. To my left there is an indent in a wall with some object sitting there, and to the left of that is a path. I choose to skip the object and go through the gate.
Inside is a small area, though larger than the previous, with a black metal fence through the middle. It isn't in a straight line, it is sort of zigzagged. I sneak to about the middle of the fence, squatted down and up against it, trying to sneak past the Valmont guy who is right on the other side. He steps right over me, thankfully only behind the fence. I know he can't see me, even though he most definitely would have if it had taken place in real life. He says something, not to me but to the other man. He walks away. I've done this part before. I sneak over towards the end of the fence, stopping a few feet before the end and stay there. The man in the hooded black robe is clearer now, he almost resembles a priest. In the previous playing of the game he didn't see me, and I ran to more blue-skied freedom; but this time, I miscalculate my steps. He steps right up to me and says something to the effect of "Aww, look at you hiding against the fence." I try to believe he still doesn't see me, so I keep crouching. I see the Valmont guy walking over. I stand up. If it were real life, I would have ran a new world record. But I stand there paralyzed as they walk up to me. The Valmont guy is on the left, and the other is on the right. They push me down onto the ground. Again, the fact that it is a game becomes evident, as their movements are unnatural. The hooded man holds my arm down while the Valmont guy pulls out a small dagger, holding down my other arm with his other hand. He *deleted this part because I don't think it's suitable for this board* Even though it was just a game, I feel a sharp, yet somewhat dull pain. I scream as he does it, and then everything fades into black with a 'failure' jingle.
I appear back into the closed-in area before the fence. This time, I take the path to my left, only to be stopped by a strange pelican with a French accent. (I'm guessing this is from Courage the Cowardly Dog.) I don't remember his exact words, but he tells me about how I can contact him with a walkie talkie device that he shows me a model of. I can see a magician in the distance shooting magic at me (gotta be from Crash Bandicoot) but everything is frozen while I talk to the pelican.
Then I appear back to the closed-in area. I go up to the indent in the wall to grab the object, which now I know was the walkie talkie. It is big, about 4 times as big as a normal-sized walkie talkie.
And there, the game is cut short.
There were some strange things about this game (besides the obvious). First of all, there was no TV screen or controller, the game was just there, playing in my head. For some parts I could feel things and move around like in real life (while I was playing as my real self, while I was on the ship, crawling through the holes, in the area after the gate) and in other parts I would just be controlling a character (while rollerblading, the time after I restarted in the closed-in area).
Although the game itself was terrifying, I took comfort in knowing it was just a game, even though sometimes I felt as if I were actually there.
I don't ever recall having this dream in a previous sleep period, but in some parts of the game I knew I had played it before (not counting the part where I restarted, it was the third time I was playing).
What else happens in the game? What other copyright-infringing cartoon characters will I run into, what other obstacles will I face? I'll have to play the game again to find out.

This is... scary. I'm serious. It is great, impressive but scary at the same time.
I must say, I'm deeply impressed. Right now, I'm listening to a song that will make it much more effective to read this. It's called ''Fissure'' from the game Riven. It really ads a certain kind of... effect I cannot describe. This is very interesting indeed. This is the first typed story I've ever read on the internet wich shows...the things that really happen in it. I'm deeply impressed. You've honestly won my respect.
Thanks...but...really...? This was actually a dream of mine...I didn't make it up.
I knowm you said. But the ay you managed to work it out is really great. You should really write more stoies I think, you have talent!
my dreams aren't that complex at all... very good! *applauds*
