drawing Anime is hard for me, but i can do the eyes!

Disaster Absol - November 1, 2003 03:23 PM (GMT)
the eyes are not so hard, indeed... I can draw anime pretty well too, I'll post some soon!

2legendary4u - November 1, 2003 05:28 PM (GMT)
the only thing i have problems with in drawing, is shading..... i could never shade a picture very well.... :(

Stinger - November 1, 2003 05:34 PM (GMT)
shading is the easiest part for me. It comes naturally

2legendary4u - November 1, 2003 05:47 PM (GMT)
the drawing part is easy for me... not the shading... i need help with it...

nomekrhi - November 1, 2003 05:58 PM (GMT)
i can draw almost anything by looking at a picture of it(not tracing) but...not much from thin are. like...i have the Pokemon Crystal box, and I drew a pretty nice Suicune.....

Disaster Absol - November 1, 2003 06:00 PM (GMT)
I think the shading isn't that hard, like stinger said, it comes naturally...

Anime Lover - November 1, 2003 06:23 PM (GMT)

its easier than you think. just imagine a light source from either the front or the sides. since you are a beginner you might want to start from the side. whatever sticks out the most will be shaded the lightest, etc.

It is an Aishia. Or at least I think that is how it's spelled...

i'll try...

Latios 007 - November 3, 2003 11:58 PM (GMT)
Shading comes naturally to me. I just can't get the stupid fingers right all the time.

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 10:08 PM (GMT)
i still suck at it! dammit! why can't i do it!

bunnygirl - November 4, 2003 10:12 PM (GMT)
it takes practice, just like drawing itself

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 10:35 PM (GMT)
i can draw, i just can't shade!!! ARGH! i'm so frustrated with it!

bunnygirl - November 4, 2003 10:36 PM (GMT)
both drawing and shading is skill, not a talent. meaning, to be good at them you just need to practice. a few years ago i couldnt shade worth crap either, so i practiced until i got good. thats the best way to perfect things.

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 10:51 PM (GMT)
i have been practicing for quite awhile.... and i'm still not good at it! i need to see an art teacher for help! i did shading last year, but i forgot how to do it... but it was easy because i had a picture of a flashlight on the object. that made it real easy... i just can't put an image in my head of a flashlight shining on my drawings! i don't really think shading is that important, is it?

bunnygirl - November 4, 2003 10:59 PM (GMT)
of course its important. what kind of art do you do mostly? if its still life stuff, then shading can be tough...but if you draw people, then getting to know the general shading isnt that hard.

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 11:03 PM (GMT)
not still life... i can't describe it...

bunnygirl - November 4, 2003 11:08 PM (GMT)
landscapes, scenery? animals?

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 11:09 PM (GMT)
yeah, those. and some weird creations that i come up with also.

bunnygirl - November 4, 2003 11:12 PM (GMT)
wow. for those things...especially landscapes...shading is very tricky. i dont think i can help you there.

2legendary4u - November 4, 2003 11:33 PM (GMT)
figures.... all i can do is ask an art teacher, or someone who knows their art very well.... <_<

bunnygirl - November 5, 2003 03:35 AM (GMT)
you should ask people in Deviant Art. many people there do the same kind of art you do.

2legendary4u - November 5, 2003 03:36 AM (GMT)
i'll check it out later. what's the website?

bunnygirl - November 5, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
www.deviantart.com

you can ask an artist personally or just post the question on the forum. its good to have an account there too. when you have a chance to scan your artwork you might want to post it up there.

2legendary4u - November 5, 2003 03:45 AM (GMT)
*rubs back of head* hehehe... i don't know if i want to. i draw good... but they're not the best looking things in the world...

Latios 007 - November 5, 2003 12:22 PM (GMT)
Who cares what people think about your artwork? I mean, as long as you are happy with it, then I see no reason not to show it to the world. :)

2legendary4u - November 5, 2003 05:41 PM (GMT)
you got a point there...

bunnygirl - November 5, 2003 11:11 PM (GMT)
if you are drawing to impress people, you draw for the wrong reason
