He was bored.
He was tired of waiting in the darkness, tendrils of fog curling around amid the piles of junk. He was tired of waiting for things to happen, tired of waiting for his existence to become meaningful.
But most importantly, he was bored.
Off in the distance, in a moonlight filled open area, there was music. Plain, boring music, just like every other Jellicle Ball.
He stood up with what could almost be called grace, and lashed his tail before finally making up his mind.
He drew back his shoulders so that his long, wild fur framed his spiked collar nicely, and swaggered toward the clearing, smirking to himself.
This Ball was going to rock.
