Summary: Etcetera doesn't want to grow up.
----------
Etcetera wandered the junkyard, alone. It was not something she was accustomed to doing, but it seemed like everything had been all wrong since the moment she woke up. She needed to sort out her thoughts.
Not that the others even thought she had thoughts, she reflected with the slightest tinge of bitterness.
Sure, she never sulked, never fretted, never let anything get her down.
It wasn't easy!
If only Electra would see that.
Her ears flattened against her head at the memory of her friend's angry words. "Doesn't anything ever bother you? Do you even think? You're such an airhead!"
"Hey, kitten. Something the matter?"
The sudden interruption made her fur stand on end. Turning, she recognized the intruder as Alonzo. "No, nothing really," she said, smiling.
"Are you sure? You seemed pretty angry," he continued, falling into step beside her.
She frowned, though it was more of a cute pout. Had she said any of that out loud? She might have muttered to herself… "No, I'm fine."
"Well, if you want to talk, I'm here."
She knew he was just doing his job as one of the tribe's protectors, but his company brightened her spirits. "Electra called me an airhead," she admitted sulkily.
"An airhead?"
"She said I don't ever think or have feelings…"
"I take it you disagree," he mused.
"It's just who I am! There's nothing wrong with me… right?"
He looked thoughtful. "Sure. There's nothing wrong with that. But is it what you really want?"
