Promise

We will begin accepting drabbles of 250 words or less for the theme 'Promise' on Monday, April 27, 2009. You may interpret this theme however you like. The deadline for entries is Thursday, May 7, 2009, 11:59 p.m. (CST). Voting will begin on Friday, May 8, and winners will be announced the morning of Monday, May 11.

Notes: I'll be out of town starting on from the 7th to the 10th, which means it's highly likely that voting will be delayed on this theme. In addition, due to the late posting of the prompt, I'm leaving Week 30's Storm theme open until this Thursday, April 30.
