Title: Gone Vacationin'
Alex0821 - March 14, 2009 10:04 PM (GMT)
Just thought I'd let everyone know that tomorrow I'm leaving for vacation, so I won't be on for about a week - I'll be in Disney World XD
Talk to you all later!

Sweet! I went to Disney World this summer, and it was I think the most amazing vacation ever! This time I was actually old enough to be able to ride all of the really fun big rides! If you're a ride person, definitely go on Expedition Everest! My sister and I went on that one about 7 times before the trip was up.

I hope you have a great time!!

Speaking of vacations, I will be gone for the next week, too! I'm off to Washington D.C. tomorrow with my class. I'm excited, though we're cutting it close. I get back in a week, only to be thrown into the 'Hell Week' of rehearsals for Into the Woods, aka the last week of rehearsals. I've been working like a maniac getting my costume ready and working on a school project in between packing...It'll be nice to have a good long 13 hour bus drive down there to get in some nice relaxation for a change! At least we get a fancy tour bus. I wouldn't last that long a drive on a school bus... :)

I think they should make it illegal to take school buses for trips longer than a couple of miles. They're not exactly the safest or most comfortable vehicles on the planet. =/
The fact that they do not have seat belts has always kind of bothered me.

I know! The bus drivers freak out at everyone for 'not sitting in the seat properly', but how do they expect us to sit with three to a seat, no seatbelts, and driving down dirt roads with ridiculous potholes every two feet? My bus driver is in the habit of leaving the schools exactly when she's scheduled to every day, no matter if their's a kid trying to get to a seat still or if someone is standing right outside the bus doors to be let on. It's rather obnoxious.

By the way, please excuse my angry rant...:)

Oh, totally excused. I've encountered my fair share of obnoxious bus drivers, though they were city bus drivers rather than school bus drivers. <_< Like the one that left me waiting right outside the doors after I'd run half a block hauling a 50-60 pound suitcase.

Oh, that's really bad! We were lucky to have a really good bus driver all week.
Alex0821 - March 20, 2009 02:15 PM (GMT)
That's so obnoxious! The bus drivers at Disney World were all marvelous XD But then again, they're paid to be extremely friendly, so I guess that'd be why.
That's cool that you were down in DC - that's where I go to school! I'm in Connecticut for vacation now though. What did you do while there?
Rubidia - March 20, 2009 02:24 PM (GMT)
We stopped at Gettysburg on the way there, and then we went to Mt. Vernon, and all of the monuments. We saw the Capital and the Library of Congress, and we went to the Newseum and the Natual History Museum. It was all really awesome, though I was a little irritated at the planning, as we spent more time browsing at a shopping mall than we did at the Smithsonian, but other than that it was all great!
