Title: Prom...?

Tonight is my high school prom.

Just wondering... what was your prom like, if you went? Or why didn't you go to yours? Did you have a- *gasp* -date?

~_~' I unfortunately have no date, and everyone I hang out with has one... which makes me really apprehensive about it. Third-wheel and all that rot.

Didn't go to my prom or any school dance, for that matter - I had better things to do, like writing fanfiction  - so I really don't know what it would be like. And none of my friends really talked about it afterward, so I always got the impression that it wasn't as amazing as it was cracked up to be (of course, these were girls that thought prom was the be-all, end-all of their lives, so they were obviously setting themselves up for disappointment). *shrugs*

I hope you have fun and things don't turn out awkward.

I did go to my prom, with a whole bunch of people I'd only known for a year. I went stag, and had fun. Formal dinner/dances aren't really my thing though. Also, I don't think we make such a big fuss about it in the UK.

I hope you had a good time anyway, since I realise it's now four days afterwards. Suddenly I'm incredibly busy - in the process of moving out, studying for exams and... yeah. I've always maintained that you don't need a significant other to have a good time. ^_^

Prom was... eh.

We were on a cruise and got to see the Seattle Skyline from the waterfront, and it was a perfect night for it. That part was fantastic.

Hanging out with my friends was alright, only a little awkward because they all had dates.

What really killed it was that I spent half of prom waiting to get my picture taken with all of my friends, only to be told that there were too many people in line so they were only doing couples- but the couples were able to take as many poses as they want. >.< That just pissed me (and subsequently my parents) off.

 That doesn't seem fair... It would have been better to limit the number of poses and photos that could be taken of each person/group than to say "couples only." I think that would upset me too.

*nod* That's exactly why I'm so mad. *grumble* So after that waste of time I pretty much just admired the view with my friends once they were done with their pictures. It was too hot on the dancefloor for me, lol.
