DirtyMo1381529 - August 3, 2003 10:33 PM (GMT)
politics...
I can't wait for an election night on there...
Happy29 - August 4, 2003 03:36 AM (GMT)
Kevin Harvick won the Brickyard 400 so I'm happy !
DirtyMo1381529 - August 4, 2003 04:14 AM (GMT)
I think Harvick might win at the glenn too. He's got a lot of momentum and isn't that horrible of a road racer
Happy29 - August 4, 2003 04:19 AM (GMT)
Kevin, Robby and Steve will have a great race at Watkins Glen I guarantee. They've all seen success at road courses in their racing careers at one time or another.
Goodwrench293 - August 4, 2003 04:34 AM (GMT)
Might see another Harvictory at Watkins Glen.
DirtyMo1381529 - August 4, 2003 04:42 AM (GMT)
i would love to see any rcr car or dei car win the weekend at the glenn, since im going to that race.
Goodwrench293 - August 4, 2003 05:42 AM (GMT)
Jeff Gordon is due. But I'm sticking with Kevin Harvick to snag his second win of the season and bring that GM Goodwrench Chevy to victory lane yet again.
CHEMICAL SOLDIER - August 4, 2003 04:13 PM (GMT)
Congrats to Kevin Harvick for winning the Brickyard.
DirtyMo1381529 - August 4, 2003 04:50 PM (GMT)
I'm thinkin this thread just might not die
Happy29 - August 4, 2003 09:19 PM (GMT)
It's invincible I tells ya !!
CHEMICAL SOLDIER - August 4, 2003 09:21 PM (GMT)
Happy29 - August 4, 2003 09:22 PM (GMT)
So, Rusty Wallace is 10th in points.
DirtyMo1381529 - August 4, 2003 09:34 PM (GMT)
Mikey is back up to 5th. He's only out of 4th by like 10 or something
Happy29 - August 4, 2003 09:40 PM (GMT)
And Kevin Harvick could be in the top 5 by next week. :D
Ward-22 - August 4, 2003 10:10 PM (GMT)
Ward is having another crappy year with Dodge! :(
CHEMICAL SOLDIER - August 4, 2003 11:40 PM (GMT)
Ward would find a good home in RCR, RC treats all his drivers equally
HarvickJrFan38 - August 5, 2003 12:46 AM (GMT)
Is this the thread where we can get out count up real real high ?
DirtyMo1381529 - August 5, 2003 01:02 AM (GMT)
I think that Steve should have never left DEI. It seems like he's been better than Jeff Green ever since he left
Happy29 - August 5, 2003 01:30 AM (GMT)
DEI hasnt really placed emphasis on the 1 team really and put it all on Mikey and Dale Jr. It was a good move for Park to go to RCR, he's doin better there plus he doesnt need to take a backseat to anyone there.
DirtyMo1381529 - August 5, 2003 01:59 AM (GMT)
That's true about focusing on the 15 an 8 teams.
Juniors eam really needs an overhaul. His pit crew has been horrible all year. Twice in the brickyard, he had loose lugnuts. That's just unacceptable. And he's been upset about the way his car has been set up all year long. I know it's hard to fire family, but the 1 car could always use a new crew chief
HarvickJrFan38 - August 5, 2003 04:20 PM (GMT)
Thats the problem with Jr's team, he never wants to fire Tony Eury Sr. or Tony Eury Jr. Those two have cost him races, left and right. I think it's time for a crew change, because it's unacceptable when I see the #17 team move from 24th to 3rd in 10 laps when it takes Jr's about 20 laps just to get from 10th to 8th. DEI has the horsepower, they have the needed engine power, they just need a crew change.
DirtyMo1381529 - August 5, 2003 07:16 PM (GMT)
I completely agree. How many times has his crew run him out of gas the last two seasons?
Happy29 - August 6, 2003 04:45 AM (GMT)
Theyre not goin to win the championship that way
HarvickJrFan38 - August 6, 2003 05:02 AM (GMT)
Today, I consider Matt Kenseth's crew to be the best crew in NASCAR, they always do a great job of getting their driver out front. They've won two pit crew championships and everytime the pit stops come, they always manage to pull out 15 or lower second Four Tire, 22 Gallon stops w/ adjustments. I think they're ready for the championship, and their performance reflects where they are in the standings.
BurntRubber84 - August 6, 2003 06:13 AM (GMT)
Matt Kenseth manages to miss all the wrecks and manages to have his equipment straight. He's a very smart racer and I think he's the best chance Roush has got for a championship.
BurntRubber84 - August 6, 2003 07:34 AM (GMT)
There are lots of races left to go, we'll let the championship sort itself out, anything could happen, but for now that gap between Kenseth, Jr and the others most likely will grow rather than stagnate.
