Title: Fighting between the Democrats

We have John Kerry accusing Howard Dean of "not being the real democrat" and being too far left. Now we have Joe Liebermann criticizing both of them. With all this separation and lack of unity within the Democratic Party, I dont think they'll stand a chance versus Bush .

I agree with Kerry, Dean is too far left; however Dean is attracting lots of the public and the polls show it. I'm surprised because most Americans will never elect someone with ultra-left radical policies like Dean. Howard Dean obviously wants to take back all of Bush's Tax refunds and credit checks, reduce military involvement overseas, these are things the American public would never ever agree with. I'm rather hopeful that Bush's tax refunds will work, within the next few months according to many financial strategists it will create a large boom in the economy enough for us to start kicking back surpluses into the economy. If we do reduce military involvement overseas (e.g Bases around the world, military intervention in Liberia, Iraq, Afghanistan) then we leave ourselves open to terror attacks and all those countries we swore to protect will be in ruins again so there goes another one of Dean's policies down the crapper.

Just a year from now til the election and the Dems race for it is pretty close. If I were a Democrat, their obvious best choice for the candidate is Senator Joseph Liebermann of Connecticut, he's not left, he's not too right, he's balanced on the issues; and I think he's the kind of President that most of the Democratic party would want. The Democratic party would want to keep a balanced stance on the issues, they dont want to be too liberal or too conservative and so would the American public. But it's their choice, the Democrats need to choose who they think will match up against the Republican party's candidate who will most likely be President Bush and hope for the best.

It doesnt really matter who the Dems choose, the Democrats have already taken a liberal stance towards all the issues, well, that's how theyre run nowadays. It's more of a popularity contest on who they'll choose, its most likely going to be Howard Dean.

Personally I dont think the Democrats will want to go that far left with Dean. They want to remain centrist so they apply to both sides of the vote.

Safe to say the Dem race is much closer than the NASCAR point standings race
