Just got home from the show

It was an amazing show, it was my first time seeing the bands live and they really impressed me. I went to get merch first and Tony was there but I was too shy to say anything, and plus I couldn't think of anything. :blink: Then MCS hit the stage, amazing show. I'm so glad I got to film it. It was only a 20 minute set but great none the less. I also took some digipics maybe I'll upload them when I'm not so tired.

Then Onelinedrawing came on, the infamous Jonah was awesome, and it was great with or without other people playing with him. When I was watching, Tony comes in and stands right in front of me, blocking my way, but I didn't say anything, yet again.

During the break before the weakerthans Jesse went to the merch table to help out and take over. So I went to the merch area because I wanted to get some onelinedrawing stuff and it was right beside each other. So basically I said hi, and that Kat, Ashley and Genki said hi. He looked at me weirdly, wondering what I was talking about, but then I said oh they're from the board. And he said "really, tell them I said hi." He also said, "yea it was my birthday a few days ago and they sent me stuff and tell them that I said thanks again." He was really excited and happy about the whole board gift thing. Even though I only maintained a less than 10 minute conversation with him, he seemed really friendly and greatful for the birthday thing.

The weakerthans went on and it was a very mellow performance but they rocked out pretty hard for some songs. I'm glad they're from Canada. :D In between one of their songs, Josh kept on walking by my friends and I but I never said anything, again. But my friend did ask Jonah to sign our cd jackets. And he was so grateful for us buying it.

The show ended then my friends and I left to wait for the bus but no buses came so we decided to get some grub and walk to the nearest station. On our way back past the club, "Just Jonah" was having this impromptu performance. I don't know how it came about but I didn't ask questions I just enjoyed the moment. He was playing his electric guitar in this grassy area, sort of park looking area beside the club. I got to film 20 minutes of it, it was so awesome. Very unique and captivating. He performed some of his songs and covers. He took requests and what have you. Jonah is all about the music and I'm so glad that there are people in the industry like him. While Jonah was performing the guys from MCS were also watching, I wanted to go over to them to say something but I felt like I'd be bothering them. Well when Jonah's performance ended all the other bands left first. And Josh was driving, and Justin was in the shotgun seat and they waved goodbye to everyone.

Man this is so long, thanks for reading it. Too bad I never got to meet the other guys in MCS but at least you know Jesse sends his hello's and there is always a next time :D And maybe next time I won't be so shy to say something. ^_^

i'm gonna transfer my footage on to vhs by the end of the month. i didn't get the whole jonah performance i only got 20 minutes of it. my battery was dying and my tape was running out. and i had to stop it cuz i thought i was taping over the mcs performance. i was so mad that i couldn't tape onelinedrawing onstage. after the mcs performance some security dude goes do you have a photo pass and i was like no. ahhaha. good thing it was at the end of their set. i got what i wanted to get. oh yea, sound quality is not the best because i was right by the speaker. well what are you gonna do. :blink:

haha.. so that was you! would you by any chance be able to send me a copie of MCS/jonah? the little session outside was.... indescribable. it lasted about an hour long, and i was like in awe the whole time.

MCS was awesome awesome! they sang capital H, woohoo! ummm.. ya :D

before the show, i wanted to talk to the guys as they were all in the little room eating pizza.. however, i thought i would be bothering them so i didn't.. lol. jesse said later that i should've said something! oh well.. i talked to jesse by merch as well, he is so nice... quiet though. also, after the show, or a little before it ended, he came out to hand out their samplers and i was handing them out too, lol it was funny. and the Jam Van (or whatever that thing is called), one of the guys who worked there was passing out MCS stickers and tried to give one to Jesse. HAAHAHA ohmygod it was so funny.

too bad the guys won't be back anytime real soon... but i was told they are playing Warped in Buffalo, and i was going to go to that =)

the Phoenix never has actual passes... usually b/c there is no barricade. i actually had a pass for the shwo (i was on the MCS) list but yeah, i just got admission and a stamp on my hand...

how did you get your camcorder in?!

i went for the weakerthans but i definately fell in love with mcs
i'm so mad i didn't get any of their merch... but it was way too crowded in the end to even get to the table
the weakerthans merch guy (pete) was sooo nice
i went to their van, and he gave me all this free stuff

well since i don't have a case for my camcorder. i put it in this black sock. i know kinda lame :rolleyes: , but the thing is the blackness of it blends well with the bottom of my bag and i put it at the bottom of my bag. and I put some crap on top of it so it seems as if the camcorder was actually the bottom of my bag.... i know...sneaky... :ph43r: but hey they're worth it. taping it sort of sucks because i can't go crazy and rock out. but i do get to watch it later. :thumbsup:

oh yea upon further viewage, the sound isn't that bad, it only sucks because of the bass, and the treble but you can still decipher what justin and matt are singing :D . oh yea the jonah performance was kinda dark but you could hear it somewhat well. the only problem was the passing cars. :angry:
