did any fellow uk resident c that episode of gmtv a couple of months back when newsreader penny smith had the hiccups?

well, for those of u who missed out, i remember that it was 7 am & id just woken up & turned on the tv when my radar detected some reference to penny having the hiccups - i think fiona may have been saying that wed have to wait a minute to hear the bulletin while p. tried to rid herself (obviously to no avail :) , but i didnt catch exactly wot she said as at that time in the morning, my ears are deaf to any word other than that one which starts with H!

a moment after id jolted upright, p. appeared & about 10 secs into the reading, she was interrupted by a silent hiccup. her response was to soldier on without saying anything, but an identical convulsion occurred at an identical interval. another ten seconds later, i heard an airy "hic" sound. at this point, p. finally acknowledged her affliction with the utterance of "im so sorry, cant seem to get rid of these hiccups!"

that seemed to b the last of them, although at the end a minute later, she said, "must go and get rid of these...",

Haha, That's happened to me a few times. Them pain in the butt hiccups. :P I hate when I'm in the middle of a conversation and I start hiccuping. :D
