Description: HPU Contacts and Consequences

Prof. Breena Brightheart - July 3, 2003 05:35 AM (GMT)
The Admin has been hard at work to help provide you with the best possible experience at HPU. This has meant making changes to the way that HPU runs behind the scenes, but these changes will effect everyone!

All members have been broken down alphabetically according to the first letter in your character's first name. To find out who your Advisor is, please find your House in the list below, and then locate the individual under which the first letter in your first name falls.

Gryffindor
Prof. Wynter Lao Blackbird (A-F)
Prof. Rikhard Finn (G-L)
Emily Took (M-S)
Prof. Arkday Ordlay (T-Z)

Prof. Breena Brightheart

All Professors (including Advisors)
Prof. Feronia Ardantane

Your Advisor is here to help you. If you have any problems regarding any aspect of HPU, feel free to contact your Advisor directly. They'll know just what to do, and will be happy to help!

If you are new to HPU, and have NOT been sorted, you may contact any of the following people with any questions you may have until you have been sorted into your House:

Headmistress: Prof. Breena Brightheart
Deputy Headmistress: Prof. Feronia Ardantane

Once a new member has been sorted, they will need to begin contacting their appropriate HPU Advisor!

If anyone has any questions, please contact me (Prof. Breena Brightheart) or your HPU Advisor. We will be happy to clarify anything that has been mentioned here!

Also, please note the Three Strikes Rule. An explanation of this rule is given in the next post. Be sure that you understand it!

Thank you!

Three Strikes Policy:

Read this carefully!

Students will receive 1 warning from their HPU Advisor every time they break one of the HPU Rules. Warnings count as strikes regardless of the type of rule being broken. That means, if you receive a warning for using bad language in one post, then receive another warning for being unnecessarily rude or violent in another post, you are still considered to have two strikes against you.

Once you have received 3 warning points, you are eligible for expulsion.

In certain cases, students will be placed in what is known as the Moderator Queue before any warning points are issued. Typically, this will happen in cases of spamming (extremely short and/or pointless posts), bad grammar, and Mary Sueing. The Mod Queue holds posts in limbo (meaning, they do not immediately show up on the boards) until a Moderator or Admin can view it. If approved, the post are sent to the boards, and will show up in the chronological order in which it was originally submitted. If it is not approved, it is deleted. You may or may not receive notification of its deletion.

Placing a person to the Mod Queue is ultimately for their own good. Instead of receiving warning points, the person is allowed the opportunity to improve their RPing. Advice on how one may go about improving their posts can be gained from one's HPU Advisor, by observing the posts of other members, and by familiarizing oneself with the HPU Rules and Role-playing Tips provided in the Administration Office.

If you have any questions regarding the Three Strikes Rule, please contact your HPU Advisor for clarification.

Thank you.

- HPU Admin

Please Note: The HPU Admin reserves the right to expel any student regardless of warnings if the situation calls for it.
