A red headed girl looked into the window of the Three Broomsticks. In her gloved hands she carried a small fox close to her chest. He was batting at her scarf from beneath the folds of her cloak. "What do you think of a drink before Honeydukes, Keiji?" Audrey suggested to the kit in her arms. Audrey slipped in the door and was welcomed by a blast of warmth. She walked to the counter and waited for service. "One Butterbeer please." She called out. Sure enough one came sailing over to Audrey. She took a sip of the rich taste and left the money and a tip on the counter.
Within a few minutes she had drained the mug and was outside walking towards Honeydukes. When Audrey walked in the front door she removed her gloves and looked around the store. She took a few moments wandering around the store while thinking to herself Weren't we supposed to do some early shopping? she asked herself. Keiji jumped out of her arms to the floor and sniffed at the sweets in his reach. Audrey to began looking at the chocolates that sang Christams carols...
"Just one more bloody year and I am out of this heap" Alex murmered to herself as she sipped a copper mug of warm pumpkin juice. Honeydukes had been warm, and was a good place to get away from the cold that was moving in.
Alex was dressed warmly, with a black sweater that hugged her figure, her jeans were well kept, one of the rare pieces of clothing that were not ragged or covered with saftey pins.
The bell on the door opened and Alex shifted her eyes in the direction of the sound. A redheaded girl had walked in with some sort of fuzzy thing in her arms. Alex raised an eyebrow "What the hell is that?" she asked herself, taking another small sip, and scanning the girl once more.
Amber walked along the street in Hogsmeade wondering about the best place to buy holiday gifts for her friends and family. As she passed the Three Broomsticks, she thought, Now there's a nice place to warm up, but what would they have there in the way of gifts for people? Then on her left she spotted Honeyduke. "Of course!" she said. Hurrying in out of the cold, she spotted a familiar figure, if not a friendly one. "Audrey! Hi. I don't know if you remember me, my name's Amber. I'm also in Ravenclaw." She smiled and looked at the chocolates in front of them. "Oh, you're kidding me, these actuallysing to you? Wow." Letting her eyes stray, she saw that farther down the aisle there were candy animals in little cages moving around and making noises appropriate to their respected animals. She walked toward them a little so as to see them from a closer proximity. Holding her hand out toward a very tiny brown fudge owl she cooed at it. It turned to look at her, then nipped her finger a little in way of greeting. "Hello," she said. Turning around and straightening up, she said, "Hey Audrey, look at this. Isn't he so cute? By the way, how's that fox of yours doing? I forget her name...."
Audrey heard a voice behind her. She glanced over her shoulder catching sight of a little girl and an older girl to her left. The girl behind was Amber. Amber Livstein, Lingstin, Livingstone was it? Audrey asked herself. It was true that Audrey had often seen her in the common room and Keiji would rub Amber's feet and such.
"Yes they sing..." Audrey grumbled in response.
The other girl wandered off to the caged chocolate animals. "Yes he looks tasty." Audrey replied to Amber's comment of the little owl. The little girl next to Audrey gasped at the thought of eating the little critter. "or, he could just sit around and mold.....?" She proposed for the little girl's sake.
Audrey could not help but to add a bitter tone when she said "HE, as in HIS name is Keiji." The small owl distracted Audrey with his chirping. He was indeed cute. " I just might buy him, if you don't mind that is."
