Family Information: Her mother's name is Alice Blackwood; she is a muggle doctor. Her father's name is Daren Blackwood; he used to be a pilot. She had a younger sister named Raina who died of cancer when she was nine. Mara was fifteen at the time.

Hometown: Right outside of London.

Physical Description: Mara is not an extremely good-looking girl though she might be prettier if she spent a bit more time on her looks. She has black, curly, almost shoulder length hair and grayish-blue, expressive eyes. She stands about 5"5 and is fairly slim, but not extremely.

Psychological Description: Mara is a very loyal person but above all has a strong desire to do what's right. She used to be very much more shy than she is now, but after living at Hogwarts for five years, she’s comfortable with going up to people and starting a conversation. She loves animals and tends to talk to them when other people aren’t around. Her worst habit is that when she is very angry she explodes at the person who made her angry then stalks off somewhere to hide where she can be alone until she feels better.

History: Mara's parents always thought there was something odd about her. A few incidents included making food she didn't like disappear and things at the other end of the room breaking when she was angry.

When Mara was ten, her father was in a plain crash, broke his back and lost the use of his legs. It was devastating for him because he couldn’t fly anymore which was one of the best things in the world to him. He went into a deep depression which was hard on Mara and her family. But with a lot of love, they got through it with nothing more than some bad memories.

When Mara first got her Hogwarts letter, her parents thought it was a prank. But it did seem to fit with all the weird things that had happened and they decided that if there was a Platform 9 ¾ then there could be a Hogwarts. When there actually was a Platform 9 ¾, they could barely believe it.

Pet(s): A barn owl named Eclypse, a beagle named Melody given to her by Blaine Lindskold and a very old black lab named Eric. Mara brought Eric to Hogwarts this year because she is under the impression that he might die anytime.
