Title: School Anyone?
Description: What do you think of it?

Astina Sincaltry - August 12, 2005 05:03 PM (GMT)
Me pearsonaly, I hate school but I also like it. It's not that complicated actually. I hate it because I'm starting two Honors classes this fall and they are going to have lots and lots of homework to come with them. i am also a procrastinator. Procarastinators do not go well with piles of homework.

I also like school because I get to hang out with all of my friends. And, I'm driving soon!

Kerrie Bourbon - August 16, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
Holy crap whoa to me school is the freakin devil.......lol its absolutely horrendous, but then theres the fact that theres friends and stuff...soo yeah, if it werent for math and french i would like school but whatever. BYE :euro:

Prof. Sarah Kerrigan - August 16, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
Actually, school seems like heaven compared to University.
To get same marks as in school, I have to sit day and night at my table....and even then they're lower. However, I think Uni life is the best. I get to hang out with all the friends and it makes me feel very independant since all I do at home is sleep :bleh:

Astina Sincaltry - August 16, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
I started school today and all the little freashmen are taller than I thought they would be. Last time I saw some of them, they were up to my shoulder. Scary huh? My brother is going to collage tomarrow. It's kinda scary that hae wont be living here any more. No one to nag

Artimiss Rose - August 16, 2005 04:57 AM (GMT)
Yeah I leave for school on the 24th. First day is the 28th. Going to a private art college. FIDM (Fashion Inst. of Design and Merchandise). Studying Interior Design. I can't wait! It's in Orange County Cali, 20 mins from Disneyland!

Mara Blackwood - August 16, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
I like school. That is, I like the classes that I do take at school. I'm taking English, Drama and P.E. at a private MB school and homeschooling the rest of my classes. It's fun!

*300th post!* :bounce8:

Miss Kai Yimin - August 16, 2005 04:37 PM (GMT)
Well! I love school.. ^^ I know that not many people do. All my friends hate school! And during the holidays I can hold my hand up and say that I miss school! ^^ *hides* I Miss all my friends that I dont see, although most of them I do.

I Miss being educated also, I mean I like a lot of te subjects and its proberbly because I am good at them, like maths and French, and some others. I Really hate science though! Dont get me wrong I can do it easy enough, but it doesnt appeal to me at all! ^.^

So what subjects do we all like?

What do we all want to be when we are older? (To put it plainley! ^_^ )

~*~Miss Yimin! ^^

Prof. Sarah Kerrigan - August 16, 2005 08:22 PM (GMT)
Well, I'm actually hating math atm, but it's getting better once I'm starting to understand it. And in fact, I kinda miss lectures and labs and I can't wait for summer nightmare to end and a normal school year to start.

As said, I'm in Uni and I'm going for my second year in Life Sciences. Yes, Kai, I'm taking all the sciences :bleh: like chem, biochem, bio, physics, physiology and human bio. But for my humanities I'm taking greek mythology and greek history. Should be fun :w00t:

Well, gotta dash

Astina Sincaltry - August 16, 2005 11:48 PM (GMT)
To Artemiss: Orange County! My Grandmother lives there. That's awsome!

To Everyone: Im starting my sophmore year in highschool and I have three honors classes! By God Im going to have a lot of home work. Not as much as you college kids, but it is a lot to me!

As for my favorite subject, it is defidently Rythum (God I cant spell!). I hate all the core subjects and all that. that's why I try to sign up for as many electives as I can!

Mara Blackwood - August 17, 2005 03:33 AM (GMT)
My favorite classes at school are English and Drama. I want to be a concert pianist when I get older. Yes, it's kinda cheesy, but it's my dream.

Melanie Khul - August 17, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
I don't particularly like school... It's alright sometimes, but I'm still really dreading going back.. Summer's almost over! :( So sad...

Anywho, my favourite class would have to be... Hm. Well, I don't have enough hours to take art, so that's out ( :disgust: )... I guess German is fun.. When my teacher doesn't go sick for 2 weeks and we get stuck with Mr. Billy Bob Garbonzo Beans who does music trivia and knows absolutely no German (though, that was kind of fun..)

Eh.. I'll go with both German and Orchestra. Although my Orchestra teacher is really scary... ::shudders::

Astina Sincaltry - August 17, 2005 10:58 PM (GMT)
concert pianist huh? I want to be a CSI when I grow up. that should be loads of fun! I dont get all grossed out when i see the TV show. Even during the shots in the Morge when they show the ottopsy of the dead people. Hee hee!

Rose Zoinkousky - August 18, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
I'm thinking of going into conmetology when i "grow up" it should be fun-ish. But back to the main point I actually HATE and DESPISE school now that ive put my two cents in, please continue.

Prof. Sarah Kerrigan - August 18, 2005 03:00 AM (GMT)
Astina. CSI rocks. I love that show and think that becoming a CSI would be loads of fun, however, don't believe everything they do in lab. If you watch Forensic Evidence on Discovery Channel :pimp: , you'll see that lots of things are wrong. However, you can't blame them since it's a show. The only problem is that I start to like my sleep, and CSIs apparently don't get too much of it. :bleh:

Astina Sincaltry - August 18, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
well, I know that some of the things that they put on that show arnt actually things that they do, but it looks like tons of fun! Besides, the shift that the people work in the show is the Graveyard shift. They work during 3 and 4 and other times like that. Haha suckers!!!

Dracona N. Illinean - August 21, 2005 10:19 AM (GMT)
I'm a lot younger than you guys... I'm not nearly in college yet... but it seems so close now... Eek!

As a random thought, one of my camp councelors this year goes to Oxford.

I don't hate school. I don't start until the first or second week of September, though; I'm not quite sure when since the letter's probably at home and sitting on out front tatble where our neighbour is putting it.

... Which makes me wonder when we're getting a new couch. But anyway...

I hate math, because it's too easy. It should be slightly better this year, because I'm in the 'Advanced' classes (though what I'm not very happy about is that they gave too many people the choice, and there's still going to be too many idiots in the class...) And I hate languages, but I'm one of the best at them. Same with English. I dunno why, but people just can't seem to remember what a noun is for three weeks. Probably has to do with going to a rich girls' school. I hate most of my 'peers'.

As for what I want to be when I grow up... My mum woulnd't mind at all me pursuing the violin, even though I hate it, or even better, singing of some sort, whether it's Opera or musicals... or an unusual pop band, like the Medival Babes... (she heard them and won't stop obsessing now). But for something I'd really like to do, Number Theory in particular is rather appealing, though I have no idea if I'd be able to get a good job with that... Or maybe something in since...

I'm starting my junior year at university this Monday! It's all gone by so incredibly fast, I can't believe I'm almost halfway done. I've gotten all my gen eds out of the way so I'm only taking things I like at this point...this semester is Latin and Education. Unfortunately school means I'll be scarce around the forum

Arche Rodahl - August 21, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
School might actually be tolerable once in a while if people would learn to bring thier own pencils. But sadly, it isn't.

Alexandria Riddle - August 21, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
I'm a freshmen.. in highschool. Oh yeah.. GOODY! I just completed my first week at my high school.. its pretty okay so far.. I know lots of people. and the teachers.. I like them.

Astina Sincaltry - August 21, 2005 09:18 PM (GMT)

You get a study hall? Fell lucky. We're made sure no period is left free in our scheldules.

Astina Sincaltry - August 22, 2005 01:52 PM (GMT)
we dont have a study hall. We have an advisory period. It can be used as a study hall, or a ssr class, but we use it as a place to just goof off.
