In the mild light of a dewy morning, Professor Hill found herself striding purposefully down the worn path leading to Hogsmeade. A blanket of gloomy clouds loomed ominously in the distance, threatening a rainy afternoon. Aside from the fact that she adored rain, however, this failed to bother the haughty blonde woman, for the day's festivities were due to take place indoors.
Her arms crossed, the professor approached the Three Broomsticks, where she was to meet most of her house for lunch and shopping. As the door creaked shut behind her, the light she had been basking in also disappeared. Instead, dusty rays danced through dusty windows, illuminating dusty people drinking from dusty glasses. Really, it was much more cozy and welcoming than it sounds.
With a pleasant expression on her face, Professor Hill took a seat at the bar.
"Gillywater and a club sandwich, please, Rosmerta," she said to the comely witch behind the bar, twisting in her seat to see if any students had arrived before her.
Sarah, being in Three Broomsticks for quite some time now, looked up as the door opened yet again. She was waiting for someone from Ravenclaw to show up, and it seemed that Professor was the first one to come. Lazy students, she thought to herself, laughing. However, it was still a bit early, so no wonder no one was here. The cafe was still half empty anyway.
Getting up from her dark corner, Sarah stretched and strode off to Professor Hill, grabbing her bag with her.
"Good morning Professor," she said in a cheerful voice as she settled right beside her. "Do you think it's going to rain?" While waiting for reply, Sarah ordered some chai.
Amber walked down the path to hosgmeade for her first time, looking around her at the interesting places. The sky seemed rather gloomy, but the air still held the excitement of something new. Amber shivered and tucked in her arms. "Let's see, we're meeting in the Three Broomsticks bar, right?" she muttered to herself as she glanced at the signs of shops. "Ah, here it is!" The dark inside was in sharp contrast to the bright grayness of outside. Once her eyes had adjusted to the dimness, she scanned the room for Ravenclaws, and recognized both Professor Hill and Sarah Kerrigan up by the bar. Walking over to them, she started thinking about what to order. "Hi, I'm here for the Smartypants field trip. My name's Amber." To the woman behind the bar, she said, "Can I please have a butterbeer and a ham and cheese sandwich?" Settling onto a bar stool, she dropped her back onto the floor at her feet and her cloak on top of it, then looked back at Sarah and the professor.
((OOC: I'll be gone for a month starting a day or two after tomorrow. I'll be back halfway through August, now that I actually know my schedule. No one tells me anything these days....))
