Title: Bestest Class

Rose Zoinkousky - April 26, 2005 10:40 PM (GMT)
Rose climbed up the ladder to the Divination classroom. This was her favorite class of all time and plus it was super-easy for her, which is always a good thing!

Rose looked around the class to see if there was anyone she knew. She was always the first one there, (unlike any of her other classes) so there might be some students she knew coming there later.

She sat on pouffe and started studying her notes from DADA, it was a fun class too but not nearly as fun as Divination!

"Where is everybody?" She asked herself quietly hoping nobody heard her "I dont know why nobody likes this class as much as me, it's so much fun." She started hearing voices coming from the little trap door.

"Finally." She thought. In spite of all the noise they were making now, they were usually completely silent during class, mostly because they were asleep, but that didn't matter to Rose she was completely content with silence.

Stacey Manello - May 3, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
Stacey climbed up the ladder to the Divination room it was one of her worst subjects, she could never see anything in the crystal ball, or in the tea leaves and she never understood a single word the professor said. It was far too complicated for her, she enjoyed classes like Charms, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, and classes like that.

"Whoa, people are here already?" She asked herself quietly. She walked priscilly over to a chair and sat down at a table with a petite girl with red hair, and crossed her legs. She scowled at the girl who was there already. Even if Rose was a nerd who was early to class, and actually tried in school, she was really quite pretty.

"Hmph, stupid smart pretty girl. I'm still the prettiest most popular girl in all the schools." She thought nastilly. "I dont care about her." She smiled thinking greedily of all the boys she would meet this year.

"Maybe ill be able to steal her boyfriend," Stacey thought, "that is if she even has one." She snickered to herself. "I have to seem nice if I want to go through with my plan" She leaned over the desk to Rose .

"Do you mind if I borrow a pen or pencil? I can't find mine." She asked sweetly but inside she was filled with evil laughter!

Rose Zoinkousky - May 3, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
Rose looked at Stacey confused, she seemed to be frowning at Rose. What did Rose ever do to her? But then she seemed so sweet.

"Do you mind if I borrow a pen or a pencil? I cant find mine." Stacey asked.

"Oh...sure here." Rose handed her a pen. "Im Rose by the way. Im a sixth year. And of course Im relieved to be a sixth year because I just have one more year left!" Rose exclaimed. She sighed and started writing notes down that the proffessor was saying again. She shifted in her chair and glanced at Stacey, at first it seemed like Stacey didn't like her but then she wa sbeing overly nice.

"Its because she didnt have a pen." Rose thought. "She was using me for my pen I have to get it back." Rose pretended to scribble on her paper. "Oh my pen just ran out can I have my other one back?" She asked.

Jenny Paveo - May 11, 2005 01:16 AM (GMT)
Jenny slowly dragged herself up the stairs. Divination to her was the worst subject ever. And yet, every year the teachers made her come and sit through their boring lectures on how to look at tea leaves and crystal balls. She sighed, already in a bad mood because of the prospect of sitting through this class. But her mood suddenly swung when she reached the top step and saw her cousin Rose sitting on one of the pouffes across the room. She should have known that she would be here! Since she was a little late, Jenny quietly went around the back of the classroom and turned up the side to get to Rose. "Hey Rose," she whispered. "I had no idea you'd be here. Now this class won't be so boring." She suddenly remembered Rose telling her once that Divination was her favourite subject. "Oops. Sorry, I forgot you like this. Hey, who's that?" She asked, indicating the girl sitting on the other side of Rose.

Rylie Lauma - May 11, 2005 03:02 AM (GMT)
Rylie pushed herself through the trap door and peered around the attic looking area. There was a thick loom of fragrance in the air. Rylie could almost taste the warm tea leaves filling her lungs. The classroom consisted of three girls and the professor with her back turned to the students.

Rylie found herself a small empty table in the front of the classroom, the girls only a few rickety chairs behind her. She walked gracefully over to her table and disregarded the eyes fixed on her back. Reminding herself of the people here, the difference between America and England she bit her lip and turned to the girls. Her lightly freckled face watched the others. Not knowing quite what to say she allowed for her honey brown eyes to wash over the girls.

She acknowledged the red head, a girl she had met by the lake. The others she knew nothing of. Passing them once or twice in the halls nothing stood out from either.

Be polite, she reminded herself of once again. Be polite, be polite, be polite.

“Hello,” she said smoothly extending her hand. On her finger she wore a ruby gem which caught the attention of one of the girls.

Stacey Manello - May 12, 2005 10:03 PM (GMT)
Stacey looked up from her long shimmering silver nails at a girl extending her hand.

"Ohmygod! Is that a ruby?" She asked "I thought everybody here were too much of losers to get expensive jewelry. huh whatever" She grabbed the hand and introduced herself "Im Stacey Manello. Pleased to meet you." Stacey kept all forms of proffessionalism in her voice like sh ewas a loyar of some sort. Stacey looked back at Rose with a sneer and grunted. Rylie was the kind of person she wanted to hang out with, the kind with expensive jewlery, ans Rose was the type of person she wanted to stay away from the people who stole pens from her.

(OOC: Lol I know this is a lame post but I had to post it.)

Rylie Lauma - May 13, 2005 08:24 PM (GMT)
Rylie's eyebrow raised as the manicured hand grabbed a hold of hers. The girl's squeal of excitement escaped from her mouth as well as her overly formal introduction. Rylie had met girls like these before. They were rich, stuck up girls who believed they're sweat didn't stink. Returning the artificial smile Rylie's mind repeated her words. I thought everybody here were too much of losers to get expensive jewelry. This was ridiculous. But the girl could come in handy later so she let it be.

Turning to Rose, she smiled softly and parted her glossed lips to speak, "Rose, didn't you show me that divine sapphire the other day? You should really wear it; it’ll bring out those eyes." Rylie slipped a wink to Rose and turned back to this Stacey Manello.

What a twit, a voice murmured to her. What could we do with this ungrateful creature? Let's bleach her hair! The voice laughed wickedly leaving a smirk on Rylie's face.

Nonsense, Rylie's own conscience replied. I don't rebel anymore, Slimiba. And I certainly don’t hurt others the way you taught me to hurt.

Oh please, once you've tasted the apple, you will always crave for it. But alright then, I'll leave you to your tedious mingling. Just don't complain to me when you grow out of your sappy angelic stage and back into the behavior you're meant for.

Rylie’s thoughts rushed over her within seconds and in return she shook the girl's hand. "Rylie Lauma," exited through her lips in a dangerously silky fashion. She felt a twinge of guilt from the hypocrisy but continued anyway. "I'm guessing you're European."

Rose Zoinkousky - May 13, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
Rose looked at Stacey with her mouth hanging slightly open in disgust.

Oh my gosh how could she say something like that? Her thoughts asked herself.

"Rose didnt you show me that divine sapphire the other day? You should really wear it. It would bring out those eyes." Rylie said with a wink.

"Uhh........Yeah.....uh you think it would bring out my eyes? I never thought of it that way. And I guess Im just too much of a loser to wear it anyway." Rose said catching on quickly. She gave Stacey one of her fake sweet smiles. "I just loooove your makeup who does it for you, a werewolf?" Rose asked knowing it was mean but she had to get back at Stacey with some sort of insult.

Stacey Manello - May 13, 2005 09:45 PM (GMT)
Stacey glared at the girls.

"I just loooove your makeup, who does it for you, a werewolf?" Rose asked Stacey shot up out of her chair, with her hands in tight fists, they were all smirking smuggly at her. Rose went too far this time. Stacey turned red all over her face as her knuckles were turning white. Stacey was supposed to be the one with good insults, not some little tiny 6th year'er.

"Well......you're........STUPID!" Was all Stacey could say, she felt her face getting hotter and tears stung her eyes, she'd always been the one who everyone was afraid to talk back to, and because of that, had never experienced the pain of being insulted herself. She turned around and walked out of the classroom with the last bit of dignity she had left. There was no reason for staying anymore if she was gonna be burned all class.

Rylie Lauma - May 14, 2005 12:36 AM (GMT)
"Good lord," Rylie boomed. "Did she have to leave? You were just giving her what she asked for. I'm glad you stood up for yourself. You know... she might not be all that bad. Even if she is an ungrateful twit."

Rylie smiled at Rose and nudged her on the shoulder, "You've even got some good ones up your sleeve."

Did I just say that?

Rylie was shocked as to how easy it was for her to warm-up on account of someone else's pride. Guilt swam over her and she heard that deep voice replay in her head. ...once you've tasted the apple, you will always crave for it. It seemed she belonged in Slytherin more than she even imagined.

Rylie remained rather quiet when she turned back to her table, pondering the thought of what she was worried about when she arrived at Hogwarts. Atleast there is a whole house full of people similar to me.

Alexandria Riddle - June 3, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
"This will be the end of me" Alex mumbled to herself while looking up at the stairs leading to the Divination Tower. Although Divination was her favorite class and she wanted to get a major in it. The process of getting there was tireing and Alex wasnt in the mood to walk up those many steps.

Alex sighed and tightly grabbed her books and bag and started clunking up the stairs with numerious moans and groans. Alex haddnt been going to class lately, for she had been skipping the majority of her classes. Her father warned to that if she were not skip another class then she would have to be moved to a different school and Alex didnt want that one bit.

Once Alex finished claiming the never ending steps, she queitly and quickly opend the classroom door and snapped it shut behind her. Alex's discontent expression because somewhat worse when she noticed that there was no one in the class that she knew or recongized.

"Why don't I have classes with my freinds anymore?" she mumbled under her breath. Soon enough she ignored everyone in the room and sat down at an empty table, just waiting for someone to speak to her.

Rylie Lauma - June 3, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
The sudden groans from behind the door grew louder as the student made their way to the classroom. A small amused smile grew over Rylie's mouth as she tried searching through her messenger bag to distract herself. She didn't want to come off as rude, she already felt as though she was.

The girl entered the room with an exasperated sigh; Rylie glanced in her direction momentarily. She had spotted her eyebrow ring instantly. Rylie had remembered how she wanted one so badly but agreed on a tattoo instead of a piercing on her fifteenth birthday. After all, she couldn't have both.

Rylie smiled at the girl as she sat at the empty table beside her. She whirled around in her chair in attempts of being polite. She extended her sleek tan hand and spoke. "Rylie," she stated simply. "Rylie Lauma. It's my first year here," She sighed and shrugged her shoulders slightly. "More like first week in this country."

Alexandria Riddle - June 3, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
Alex set down her bag and plopped down her books with a loud slam. Alex pulled back her long black hair and fixed it into a ponytail. Before she knew it a girl had turned around and started talking to her.

"That was fast" she mumbled to herself in a sarcastic tone. Alex rested her head in her palm while listening to the girl introdouce herself. "Nice you meet you.. Rylie.. thats a pretty name" she replied with a bit of an arrogant smirk on her face. "I'm Alexandria Riddle" she replied "Well.. I go by Alex". Alex began to twirl her hair as she thought about what Rylie had said. "Thats interesting, I've been here all my life pratically." Alex exclaimed "This is my sixth year here".

Alex looked around the room for the second time. She rolled her eyes a bit and looked down at the table. "I really should have skipped" she thought to herself. Why would she want to spoil acing a class that she was very good at.

"So, you like this class?"

Rylie Lauma - June 4, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
Rylie studied Alex as she spoke. She was obviously very bored with the classroom gig. She nodded her head in thanks for the compliment about her name. "My dad named me," she said out loud without noticing. Her dad. She hadn't seen or heard from the man since she was a very small girl. When she was younger she missed him so much she thought her heart would swell up and burst. But she didn't anymore. It was like he had been a dream, a very long bittersweet dream. "That's the only thing he's really done for me," she said heavily trailing a bit of resentment.

"Yeah, this class is cool. The first time I've come to Hogwart's Divination though. In the states my mom had me tutored," she explained lazily. "It's interesting." She sighed and returned to the paper she had been doodling on since the beginning of class. Lyrics from a Canadian band by the name of Tegan and Sara were scribbled over the paper.

Odd designs and swirls filled whatever blank spaces were there. Rylie began writing Alex Riddle on the next page in large, sharp looking letter unconsciously as she asked the girl a question. "Where do you live when your not here?"

Alexandria Riddle - June 5, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Alex looked down at her purse and unzipped it carefully. She pulled out a small, rounded tip muggle pen and a large quill with ink. Carefully setting both items of the rounded table in front of her, Alex continued to closley listen to what Rylie had been saying. Listening to her comment about Divination, Alex's face formed a smirk.

"I've aced Divination ever since my first year here" Alex replied,"Divination is no doutb my best subject, I hope that once I get out of here I can get a major in it". Although Alex did have unrealistic dreams and desires this was the one that seems more realistic and serious for her. Alex then zipped up her purse and set it down on the floor next to her on the floor. She looked up and listened to Rylie's most recent question.

"Well.. I am living with my dad in a manison in Dublin" Alex replied, knowing that it might seem that she'd be living the fairy tale life in a huge house in Ireland..but the fact was that she despised every minute of it. "Its not all that great though, I have the smallest room in the house and he's never home.. and the house is horrid.."

Dylan McClayat - June 7, 2005 12:45 PM (GMT)
Dylan was sat further back in the class and had been picking apart a frayed, threadbare section of one of the more gaudy tablecloths. Had been that is, until the little scuffle between Rose and Stacey.

He smirked, it seemed Rose - whom at first he'd pegged as the weaker of the two - had won the battle with some quick-witting from another girl, Rylie. Of course, he didn't really know the girls' names. In his mind, he was thinking of them as Red, Toff and Gem. Yes, he was extremely creative.

The event now over, he returned to his destructive past-time with renewed vigor. This tablecloth would look like a spiders web if he had to pick at it until his fingers bled.

"Now class, today we shall approach the BEYOND!" a ghostly, echoing voice boomed from the front desk. It appeared that the professor was 'back with them'. Where the heck she'd been, he didn't want to contemplate. The lesson was weird enough.

The professor stood up and began to hand out what looked like bound pamphlets of parchement. Fun.. he thought to himself. Course Syllabi.

(ooc: Seeing as there was no actual professor, I improv'd Trelawny. No objections, I trust?)
EDIT - Some spelling mistakes

Alanna Cooper - August 3, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
Quickly, Alanna slid into her seat just after she heard- from outside the classroom door- a voice saying, "Now class, today we shall approach the BEYOND!" Flushed, she sat down.

"Oh god, I hope no one noticed I was late. I remember Prof. Brightheart saying 'If you are late for another class I will have to give you more detention Alanna. Don't let this become a habit of yours.' " She said loudly. "I can't do with another detention!! I'll be labeled as a 'detention girl' for life!"

Alanna quickly scanned the dimly lit room. She couldn't tell if there were any people that she knew but she continued looking...
