Character Name: Lyndsay Audair
House: Slytherin
Blood Type: Pureblood
Family Information & History:
(I've combined History and Family Information if you don't mind, as for her, these two are very closely linked.)
Ever since a very young age, Loretta's parents have been training her in every way possible. When she was too young to do anything magical or physical (or at least to an extreme) they taught her manners; the proper way to eat at the dinner table, how to greet someone and it was also at this early age that they showed her how to construct the perfect mask. Her parents were Death Eaters - rather dangerous ones that were high up in the ranks - and they wanted their daughter to follow in their footsteps. If this were to happen, then she'd need to be perfect or pretty damn close to it. She would need to know how to lie with a straight face and how to get people she didn't even know to do anything for her. The girl would need to know how to be manipulative, cunning and all-in-all, the perfect Slytherin.
For most of her early life, Loretta went along with this, loving the idea of being able to hold great power. She wanted to be like her parents; she wanted to be wealthy, live in a nice home and to be respected by so many others. So, she strived to do well in all of her studies, pushing herself to her limits even when her parents thought she was doing too much. It times like that the girl was ever grateful that she could lie so easily, that she could fool her parents into believing that she wasn't stressed, that was wasn't too tired and that she didn't need to stop. Sometimes she knew her parents didn't believe her, that they could see through her mask. Other time she was sure she had fooled them, and that only fueled her efforts to keep on going.
It was when she was eleven though, that something occured that changed the way Loretta thought. She had pushed herself too far and because of this, she got a type of Magical backlash. Had she been older and in her full magical potential it could've killed her, and it almost did, considering the rarity of someone her age experiancing it. Since it was something so shocking and unheard of, the Ministry quickly got involved and eventually blamed her time in St. Mungo's on her parents. They searched the house, looking for further proof. Of course, they didn't exactly find the proof they wanted, but they found some other suspicious objects that someone would commonly find in the home of a Dark Wizard. Her parents were questioned, but the searching of their house was unexpected and sudden so they hadn't the time to cover up their tracks of find plausable excuses for those objects.
They were tried by a full Wizengamot and found guility not only for mild child abuse for being followers of the Dark Lord. They were quickly whisked off to one of the deepest cells in Azkaban, but surprisingly spared The Kiss. Some suspect that they were only spared because of the large amount of knowledge of Voldemort, his plans, the way he works and all his Death Eaters. Their imprisonment hurt Loretta deeply, knowing that it wasn't their fault that she had experianced magical backlash. It was hers and as many times as she told people that, they never believed her, thinking her to be a wounded child that didn't know what to think.
Because she was a Minor and now parentless, she was quickl whisked off to be put up for adoption. Children, to most Wizarding Families, were precious and that was the reason so many people were willing to take her in. This time though, unlike when she was trying to convince people of her parents innocence, she did have some say as to where she would go. For sure, she wanted to go a pure-blood family, having been groomed to think that anyone without pure blood was a waste of time and space. The little girl wanted a family that would want to continue her early studies and wouldn't mind the way she was. It was a hard choice - so very few Dark Pure-blood families were willing to take her in, but the Bailore's were finally the chosen family. Now, adopting in the Magical world is a bit different than in the Muggle world. While the new parents did sign papers and such, they also did a bit of a bond so that Loretta really was their daughter by both law and blood. Old families always want to continue their line naturally, if possible, so they wanted any children they had to be theirs by blood.
It took Loretta some time to get used to her family, but she found out that they are were Death Eaters, so in the way her life ran, nothing much changed. Still, inside she always felt a deep pain at the loss of her parents and this is what pushed her to be the person she is today. She wants to get revenge at the Ministry and their horrid ineptness at their job. Loretta was now a person who wanted to cause everyone else around her a great deal of pain because she knew that her parents didn't deserve to be in Azkaban, and she wanted them back.
Hometown: She lives on the border of Greater London.
Physical Description:
Having a good appearance down to the make-up on her face and clothes on her body is thought to be important to Loretta, no matter how vain it sounds. She feels that how she looks will reflect how important her pure-blood line is, which she holds much honor in. If she didn't look good and dressed like a street rat, then many witches and wizards would no doubt think her nothing but a worthless Mudblood. Graced with silky brown hair, she often wears it down to let its natural waves become apparent. Her hair, which rests just below her shoulders, is the type that you would just love to run your hands through over and over. Loretta has a matching pair of dark brown eyes that are personally considered her only flaw. Although she is a master at hiding her emotions, she occasionally messes up by letting just a tendril of her feelings creep into her green-specked eyes.
Depending on when you catch her, the fifteen-year-old's face can look two different and opposite ways. When she goes 'natural', or wears no make-up, her face looks rounder, softer and almost kinder. The moment that the eye-liner, lip gloss and dark foundation are on, though, her face takes on a much sharper look that outwardly shows the cruelty within. Like her mother, she has a firm, yet feministic jaw with average cheek-bones and a regular nose that is neither "turned-up" nor "button-cute", which she is much thankful for. Her lips, which are naturally pale and not "ruby-red" are on the thinner side, giving her more of a saucy look when a smirk crosses her face- which one often does. The brunette's eyebrows are perfectly placed above her eyes giving people the idea that she is an often a sarcastic person, since they are just a slight bit higher on the outside than the inside.
Her body, which must be naturally tan considering she prefers the rain to sunshine, is lithe and toned due to the strenuous activities she puts herself through. The exercises also have much to do with upholding the family honor, though it isn't bad to also be physically appealing to the male gender. She is considered somewhat 'well-endowed' though she only flaunts it around when her other means of manipulation do not work. Loretta's tan skin is often under light glamourie due to some of the unique scars she has on her cheek and back. Most of these permanent marks on her body were received during battles against the Order and Aurors.
The clothes that adorn Loretta Bailore's body are often the standard Wizarding robes that you can get at a high-class tailor. She prefers a simple black robe, though she does own some dark blues, greens and even one dark purple one when meeting in a more festive or 'happier' air than her usual hauntings. Surprisingly, though she despises the fact, Loretta does have some Muggle clothing in her wardrobe.
Psychological Description:
Due to her history, this brunette is very bitter. She's snap and snarl at the smallest amount of irritation and because of this, not many people actually stick around her. Mostly just fellow Slytherin get in her good graces, but she doesn't mind this, knowing that they were in the house because they had something horrible in their background as well. Most Slytherins did - which is why they were even sorted into that house. She felt right in place, knowing she could be as cold as she wanted and that no one their would get affronted with her often harsh words.
Despite this though, she was still highly intellectual. Loretta was a smart girl who was highly observant and could read people very well. She knew what people felt with just a simple glance and often, she finds herself molding herself to be just like them. Most of the time this is just her way of manipulating the person. The girl appears to be understanding of what they are feeling and to act like she's a kindred spirit. Often around Gryffindors she acts like she's that lone Slytherin who is nice and not wanting to Evil at all. She does this because she knows that when they found out otherwise, they'll lose some of their annoying naivity and will be hurt that they could be tricked so easily. In the long run, she's the perfect actress, being whoever anyone wants her to be.
In class you will see the calmer side of Loretta, as she realizes that teachers loathe the students that are constantly standing up to shout out their answers instead of just raising their hand to show that they understand the topic. She only answers questions that should be commonly known by everyone and a few questions that are of the harder variety. Not wanting to draw attention to herself, she appears to just be the average student. Of course, she is a Slytherin and doesn't plan to deprive herself of all her glory and therefore tries to do exceedingly well on her work.
She's been hurt in her past, but with the help of her current family she's getting over it. Only recently has she actually started calling the Bailore's "Mother" or "Father" and because of that she can already feel the wound slowly healing. Her attitude varies because she's not sure who to be, which is why she really is the perfect address. She does realize though that as much as she may get over her real parents, there will always be a scar; one that has greatly affected her in a very dangeros way. When she turned seventeen, she plans to join the Dark Force, ready to proove herself to be just as great as her original biological parents. The Wizarding World won't know what hit them.

Other Information: Special Request: The ability to "Use the Shadows" meaning that she can hide in the them and not ALWAYS be detected (someone with extreme skill could know she was there).
Reason: As the war progresses, she plans to join one side or the other. Which ever side she joins, she could greatly help out by spying, and by being able to hide in the shadows, very, very few people would be able to know she was there. Also, as the rivalry increased between Gryffindor and Slytherin, she can escape from she happens to run it by use of the shadows [to cloak her only]. Or just the opposite, she can use them to help her house get back at the Grffies.
