Character Name: Ebony Lora Rainea

House: When she was at school, she was a Hufflepuff, and still is extremely proud of it!

Blood Type: Pure. The Rainea's are a very well known pure blood family, but most of them are stuck up idiots.

Family Information: Ebony doesn't have a loving family. Her parents always shunted her because of her views of the Ministry and her love of being an outcast, also the fact she's a Hufflepuff. Everyone in her immediate family (besides her Father) had been in Slytherin. Instead, she was put into Hufflepuff. The Rainea's had a long line of Hufflepuffs and Slytherins. Anyone who is not in either of those houses are known as family disgraces. Her family was so surprised when they got a letter from her telling them she was the new Potions Professor at Hogwarts. Emansy had sent her a very stiff congratulations letter.
Father- Egrad Rainea, a squib from a pure blood family, who also happens to be extremely arrogant. Not working.
Mother- Kenza Rainea, a highly qualified witch who used to work for the ministry. She was fired from her job because of her ability, or lack there of, to negotiate. She know works as a hostess at a fancy restaurant in London, and is at least bringing in a small income.
Sister- Emansy Rainea, a very smart (but arrogant) witch who's job is currently kept as a secret to her family.

Hometown: Her old hometown in Scotland.

Physical Description: Ebony's once blonde roots were slowly turning into a light brown color, which Ebony didn't like at all. At first, she started getting her roots done the same blonde they used to be. When she turned 22, she started getting her whole head dyed blonde. So Ebony has the same old (artificial) blonde hair. Since her fifth year, when she was forced to get it cut, she had let it grow out again. Now, at age 25, it reaches the middle of her back, and it's getting harder to keep blonde. In her seventh year, Ebony was forced to start wearing glasses over her sparkling green eyes. She picked slim, oval-shaped, black rimmed ones and has been wearing the same ones ever since she was seventeen. Her eyes, even though they are sheilded by glases, still sparkle. She is quite small, still, around 5'3, and is relatively thin as she has taken on running.

Psychological Description: Ebony is a very caring and loyal friend. She keeps pretty much any secret you tell her, and she can give some good advice (sometimes), but mostly, she'll just be your shoulder to cry on, or the hand to pat your back. She can be pretty (annoyingly) optomistic in times of despair, and is often had to be told to shut it. Ebony is awful at all spellwork. She cannot do anything with a wand except for a few simple charms. Ebony is absolutely absimal at Transfiguration. She can never concentrate enough to be able to complete the spell. She finds her strength in Potions, a subject she absolutely loves. She is an enormous procrastinator, and hates herself for it. She even procrastinates giving up procrastination! You'll most likely find her in her office, or in the Hufflepuff common room, correcting work that she was suppose to hand back last Wednesday. That's Ebony for you, a procrastinator, scatter brained, and yet affectionate and caring.

History: Ebony grew up in a small Scottish village, but didn't spend her time in the town. Instead, she spent her summers in the country side, climbing trees, and writing poetry. When it got too cold during the Fall and Winter, she'd often explore the family attic, which was full of odds and ends that belonged to the family. When she was 10, the winter before she got her letter, she was exploring the attic. She was searching through an old box, which had belonged to her deceased grandmother. She found an interesting medallion, which had a snake and a badger carved into it, to represent the HUfflepuffs and Slytherins in the Rainea family. Something had made her want to keep it, and it has been hanging around her neck ever since.

As soon as Ebony graduated (with honors only in CoMC and Potions), she got a job as an animal handler at a magical pet store in Hogsmeade. She stayed in a cheap apartment and saved pretty much all her money. When she finally had enough money (it took four years, so she was 21 at the time) she bought back her old home. It was much too big for her, so she got a job as manager at the local grocerie store and saved up her money, yet again, for renevations. It took two years (she was 23) to save all the money needed. Finally, she renevated the spacious attic into an apartment, and gave the upstairs a kitchen. Now she had two roomy apartments she could rent out to get some income.

Wand: 13 inch, ebony wood, and snake skin

Pet(s): Adrienne, a lovely garter snake she found in the family's garden. It seemed Adrienne became attached to Ebony because she slid into the girls pocket as she was leaving the garden. They had been friends ever since. Ebony also own an owl by the name of Gwendolyn.
