Family Information: Paige's father is Mark Reitz. He no longer lives with Paige's family nor does Paige know of his current location. Paige's mother is Traci Dalton. She was murdered by Paige's father. Paige has one older sister named Kirsten who is currently twenty-five years old. Kirsten looks almost identical to Paige except for the age difference. Kirsten cares for Paige when she is home and has done so since her mother's demise.

Hometown: A small town called Caldebrom, it is near Stockholm, Sweden. The town is the only town in Sweden that is completely magical.

Physical Description: Paige is the picture of the ideal Swede. She is 5'4" and very slim. The girl only weighs 85 pounds. Many accuse her of being annorexic, though she is not. She has thick, long, white-blond hair that reaches her mid-back when it hangs straight. Her hair either hangs loose or is pulled back into a thick braid. Her hair is wavy but lacks curls. Paige's complexion is extremely fair and the bridge of her nose is sprinkled lightly with freckles that are only noticeable in bright sunlight. Her eyes are a light blue and always reflect her emotions. They sparkle and dance when she's happy but flash menacingly when she's angry. They take on whatever emotion she is feeling at the time so it would be wise to pay attention to her eyes. Paige has a small, thin, black scar on the back of her neck. It is shaped like the Merkstave (or reverse) of the Rune Thurisaz. It is the mark of an ancient Swedish curse and she only shows the scar to people who she trusts beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Paige usually wears dark blue jeans that complement her slim figure under her robes. She wears tee-shirts and sweaters depending on the weather and they are usually blues, black, white, purples, or reds.

Psychological Description: Paige is highly intellectual. She has a brilliant mind but is often much to shy and reserved to show it. The girl hardly talks to anyone and only speaks when absolutely necessary and with many prompts by others. She writes quite frequently and always carries a thick sheaf of parchment with her so she can describe what she wants when she is too shy to talk. She loves animals and thrives in their company, where she often speaks freely. Paige hates crowds and prefers to be alone when possible. The girl is determined to break out of her shell but it will take a lot of coaxing from others before she masters this. Paige is very sensitive to what others feel and once you befriend her, she can help you out of many a fix. She is very friendly and energetic once she has complete trust in you, though that may take a while.

History: Paige's history has been tragic, to say the least. Her childhood got bad when she was about seven. Her father began to abuse Kirsten, Paige, and Traci physically, verbally, and sexually. When Paige was nine, he attempted to murder her and her mother with an ancient Swedish curse. He tried to kill her first but her mother cast the countercharm on the small girl, saving her from the worst of the blast. Unfortunately, Traci didn't perform the charm on herself in time and was killed. Mark mistakenly assumed Paige was dead as she was passed out cold and fled. He hasn't been seen since and Kirsten raised Paige from then on. Paige learned the Runes when she was five because she grew up in a traditional Swedish household.

Wand: 10 1/2 inches, maple/mahoghany, unicorn hair

Pet(s): Paige owns three animals, two of which accompanied her to HPU. One of those two is Freya, a six month old owlet that Paige has raised since Freya's birth. The owl's mother, Melinda, had a contagious disease at the time of Freya's birth so Paige took responsibility for the owl. Freya isn't yet old enough to deliver mail but she will be soon. For now, she enlists the help of school owls. Freya is very intelligent and loves attention. She is a snowy white owl.
The other pet she brought with her is a rabbit by the name of Merlin. He is jet black excluding his white underbelly and a small, lightning bolt shaped white marking on his forehead. Merlin is three years old and Paige has raised him since he was six weeks old. The two are rarely apart and Merlin is often times seen scampering behind Paige. He is litter-box trained and knows several vocal commands as well. The rabbit is intelligent and obedient.

Broom: Paige owns a Firebolt, a present from her sister. More than a present, it was a bribe to get Paige to agree to go to a British school. Paige loves flying and often flies just to let off steam.

Other Information: Paige is fifteen years old. She attended the Swedish Magic Academy before HPU but has started in the first year because her English isn't perfect yet. Paige is Swedish and speaks the language fluently. She grew up in Sweden and this is her first time out of Scandinavia.

Special Request: Paige is an empath.

Reason: I wish for my character to be an empath because I am much of one in real life. I often feel others emotions and I know how it feels to be placed in a situation such as a crowded room and be driven near insane by emotions. I wish for Paige to be an empath because I believe I can add to the plot for she will be able to sense what others are feeling around her. This could be useful in more ways than one, including the fact that she'd be able to help people. Far from being a 'Mary Sue', her empathic abilities are also a curse as she is forced to deal with many other emotions before her own. This ability would round my character off nicely as it would give her something to work on. It would be an on-going problem that she must figure out a solution to or be driven mad.
