Love it, or hate it, the look of HPU should invoke warm and nostalgic images of books and parchments, quills and candlelight, gleaming wood and ancient stone. This is a Hogwarts RPG, and that's the sort of "personality" it should have. Though we may change the skin from time to time, we will henceforth endeavour to stick to the same theme/feel that HPU has had from the very beginning (can the older HPU members remember the gold, Fred-and-George skin we had back in the day? -- I can!).

I know some of you dislike this color scheme, and the purple skin was a refreshing change for a while there. But let's face it. The Internet is a very superficial place, where the book really is (and will always be) judged by the cover. As such, it is necessary for the look of HPU to correspond directly with the nature of this site. Besides, "warm" and "inviting" are the two keywords that should be visually associated with HPU, if we wish to continue growing as a community.

Of course, there's always the chance that we'll mix things up with a holiday-inspired skin that will once again break from HPU tradition, but from here on out, this is the general direction in which will be staying.

So, here it is... the latest HPU skin. It's a combined effort between myself, Fe, and Sey, and many thanks to them both!

I agree, its gorgeous, I'm a brown person, and the purple, I personally think, didn't relate to harry potter at all...Well done, it is warm and cosy, and it just makes me wanna cuddle it...

I like this one! The purple one was nice, I think, when the days were pathetically warm, because it was cool and icyish almost. But this one is made of warmer colors, and it matches better for the suddenly pathetically cold days we're having. Where I live at least...
