Character Name: Gale Eileen Callaghan- Hogwarts Resident Skeptic
House: Gryffindor (odd isn’t it)
Blood Type: Pureblood- as pure as it gets.
Family Information: Her father, Andrew Callaghan holds a prestigious position in the Ministry of Magic. Her mother, like all females in the ancient Callaghan family, stays at home and watches over the manor and the house-elves. Both of her parents find themselves superior to halfbloods and “mudbloods” as they so explicitly dub those of Muggle ancestry. Unfortunately, she grew up to have a very spoiled disposition and seems to be under the delusion that everything she says will be granted as it easily is in the Callaghan residence. Most of her family had been sorted in the house of Ravenclaw and it is uncanny that Gale herself did not land herself in the house noted for extreme intelligence as she quite obviously possesses.
Hometown: Belfast, Ireland
Physical Description: Gale stands rather short at about 5’3 with a slim but not skeletal form. Be warned, she can pack quite a punch in her seemingly delicate frame. Locks of a dark brown hue hang about her countenance and cascade to just below her shoulder blades, with traces of ochre and auburn visible in the light. Gale’s eyes possess a medium brown colour. Her brow seems to be slightly inclined to fall into a disapproving glare; her frown tends to be a little frightening, and her smile is equally as surprising. Both suit her fairly well – a dark freckle or two is splayed across the higher area of her left cheek. The gentle contour of her jaw is accompanied by a slightly defiant chin. A plain, but acceptable, complexion, most commonly bordering on sallow; sometimes, on the occasion of unusual physical exertion, a slightly rosy tint arises amidst her cheeks. Gale has a straight nose and a full, resolute mouth. Though pretty, Gale thinks not much of it.
Psychological Description: [temp] A person most noted for extreme fluctuation in temperament – at times, Gale is highly insensitive, overbearing, and has a tendency to shout. At others, Gale is extremely sympathetic, and usually could care less as to the rest of the populace.
Callaghan is a person who values privacy; she often seeks this, to little avail, with a book in hand. She often fantasizes in class, and seldom pays very much attention to any one thing other than her present novel. Depending on the amount of sugar consumed recently, Gale can be obnoxious, introverted, or simply irritable.
One of her lesser traits is patience – Gale can scarcely stand in one place for five minutes, let alone wait for someone. However, she can take great pains to temper herself and be kindly – depending on the situation.
Gale is immensely confident in her academic abilities; she tends to postpone work, but manages to always keep her marks extremely high. She has a great dislike for noise, as well as anyone who asks for homework assistance. It is beyond her how anyone cannot cope with the curriculum (as she is already studying things beyond her years), and is somewhat heartless where that is concerned. Over the years of living at Hogwarts she has developed an uncanny interest in the Dark Arts, and can often be found poking around in the Restricted Section. She also has a knack for Astronomy, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against Dark Arts, among other things.
History: Gale lived in Southampton, England, until the age of six when her father decided it was time for the family to move to Dublin (where he was originally from) and be closer to family. She was immediately taken and thrust into a world filled with posh social events and a place where she was the property of the eminent Callaghan name- a place where she was honored as the only child of Andrew Callaghan.

Pet(s): Her one and only pet is a grey tabby, Circe (pronounced: sir-see), which she adores. Oh, and then there is her screech owl, but he’s really just for trivial labour, such as delivering letters, which explains why he is not named- “owl” works just fine for Gale.
Broom: She has a vintage broom, Oakshaft 79 (a present from her Aunt Charlotte) stowed away in her dormitory that she rarely uses.
Other Information: Aged sixteen and in her sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
