Emily Took - November 10, 2004 10:50 PM (GMT)

Alexander Brandywine - November 10, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)

Alexander Brandywine - November 11, 2004 04:10 PM (GMT)
I have another question.

How do you know what year you are in?(stupid question  i know)

Zeno Brookes - November 11, 2004 04:58 PM (GMT)
You get to pick any year you want to be in. You have to put what year in your application.

Alexander Brandywine - November 11, 2004 08:51 PM (GMT)
Thanks a lot!

Alexander Brandywine - November 11, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
Alex the anoying is back

Anyone want to tell me how the whole class thing works?(I'm new to RPG if you couldn't tell)

Emily Took - November 11, 2004 11:15 PM (GMT)
Well it's not a requirment to go to each and every class but you are encouraged to. Overall it's pretty casual because there is no specfic time classes start and end.

Prof. Breena Brightheart - November 12, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
As stated, you may either jump into any class that strikes your fancy, or avoid them altogether. Participation in class threads are not mandatory.

Because this is a school, however, your character will hypothetically still be enrolled in classes. As such, you should RP him/her as being a student with a full schedule of classes. Of course, the only way you could convey this fact is if you were to mention things like doing homework for class, studying for a test, having to go to bed early in order to wake up for that morning potions class, etc.--things that at least hint to the fact that your character is off taking classes when he/she isn't out playing.

If that makes sense.

In other words, no one should be running around, spouting about how they somehow miraculously escaped having to take any classes. That's just silly for a place like Hogwarts.

Alexander Brandywine - November 13, 2004 03:28 AM (GMT)
**sigh of relief** Thanks Professor!

Joseliel De Montroi - November 14, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
Not sure how this works and its my first post on this site...sooo

do i just post the character description in the designated place? and thats it?

oh and i'm guessing i'll find out what house im in after i post this message? if theres an easier way please let me know?

Zeno Brookes - November 15, 2004 12:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah you post your character sheet in the forum that says " Character Descriptions" And you have to take the quiz before you know what house you are in.

Joseliel De Montroi - November 15, 2004 12:03 AM (GMT)
i've sent in the sorting quiz, but i havent been sorted yet, so i guess there wont be any character description writing for me...

until later...i thought that the sorting was done at the same time you registered..

i guess i'll have to wait...is there a way to see your details and change your picture?

Zeno Brookes - November 15, 2004 12:16 AM (GMT)
You have to write your description. They will tell you what house you are in soon. Go to my controls.

Joseliel De Montroi - November 15, 2004 02:56 AM (GMT)
Can I start posting without actually having a description? since I dont know what house I'm in, I cant write my description yet.

Alexander Brandywine - November 15, 2004 03:08 AM (GMT)
Yes I believe you may post before but write the descripsion soon because if you don't you migt not be able to post at all.

Prof. Alyson Hill - November 15, 2004 06:10 AM (GMT)
Yes, you may post before you are sorted or have a description, but it is imperative that you eventually do post a description

Prof. Feronia Ardantane - November 15, 2004 09:41 AM (GMT)
The only place you can post without your CD and house is in the New Student Office. If you don't post your CD within a week or so of Sorting you will be moved back to a resticted usergroup as having an up to date CD is in the rules.

You can actually write your CD without your house, we can edit to add it in later. It makes it much easier for all of us if you do this, because then we can decide upon your SR before you get RPing and you don't have to wait around to know if you can RP it or not.

Joseliel De Montroi - November 17, 2004 12:52 AM (GMT)
OK thanks guys, I'll start writing my description now...

Joseliel De Montroi - November 25, 2004 12:44 AM (GMT)
Okay yet another question, If i want the password to Hogsmeade and Knockturn Alley, I know where to post the request, but whats the permission slip, does a staff member have to do that, or do we make it up and add it to the request??

Prof. Breena Brightheart - November 25, 2004 02:45 AM (GMT)
You did it correctly. Passwords have been PMed to you. ^^

Joseliel De Montroi - November 25, 2004 02:51 AM (GMT)
thanks so much...

was beginning to think no one paid attention to me...

Willow Syrie - November 26, 2004 12:57 AM (GMT)
I feel stupid asking this, but how do I make and get those pictures that say my RP name and stuff?

Joseliel De Montroi - November 26, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
Your avatar...

Go into your control panel, and there will be an avatar button...

Haven't worked out the siggi one yet, but if you want to write something in your signature, its with the avatar link...

on the left side in the nav bar of your control panel

Willow Syrie - November 26, 2004 01:31 AM (GMT)
Thanks, but I already got it and now am trying to figure out the siggie one!

Joseliel De Montroi - November 26, 2004 04:18 AM (GMT)
Okies...

Well i still havent worked it out...the picture i want wont show up, so i'll have to stick with the one i've got

Prof. Breena Brightheart - November 26, 2004 05:10 AM (GMT)
To get a signature image to work on the forums, you have to use the HTML code:

CODE
<img src="INSERT URL HERE">

Does that answer your question regarding signatures? Yours is working, so I would assume you figured it out...

Willow Syrie - November 26, 2004 10:23 PM (GMT)
Thank you!
