Title: Second Class
Description: Field Trip

Prof. Aaron Lunaran - May 23, 2004 04:44 AM (GMT)
Prof. Aaron Lunaran stood outside near the lake waiting for his students to arrive. He'd left a note on the door saying to head out here for the outdoor activity.

Hopefully everyone will like it, it should be a fun class. Aaron thought to himself, looking for anyone arriving.

He was also excited because this was the first class that Aiera was going to be coming to. He'd asked her to help out as an extra chaperone, to protect the students in case of emergency. Hopefully neither Aiera nor himself would be needed, but it was good to be prepared.

Pandora Kavanaugh - May 23, 2004 10:23 AM (GMT)
All by her lonesome, Pandora walked down towards the lake, searching for a professor she'd never seen before, and trusting that he would be the only adult on the grounds at that time of day. She held a hand up to block the sunlight as she looked for him. Soon enough, she had spotted him, and started walking in that direction.

As she approached, she offered a hesitant smile. "Hello." She said quietly, as she settled down on the ground. It was nice, being outside for a class, in the fresh air and sunshine. She just hoped it wouldn't end up being a scary lesson...

Alyson Weasley - May 23, 2004 03:34 PM (GMT)
Aly walked out on the grounds, hoping she would find the right place for the class. She was very excited for this one and couldn't wait to get started. Squinting through the sunlight, she spotted Prof. Lunaran and Pandora. "Ah, this must be the place.."

Aly picked up her speed a little as she walked over to them. "Hello." She said to both of them as she sat down next to Pandora. "Nice day, eh?" She said looking around and breathing in teh fresh air.

Marie Antoinette - May 23, 2004 03:54 PM (GMT)
Marie walked at a leisurely pace toward the small gathering, squinting unattractively with a hand over her eyes as she blocked out the sun. Thanks to quidditch practice she'd tanned somewhat, losing the fear of being burned, yet still she was discomforted by the constant heat and bright light glaring down at her from above. The only consolation she had was how peeved her mother would be once she saw her daughter had lost her porcelain skin tone.

Nodding at the two younger students already seated and Professor Lunaran, she decided on standing for the lesson, awkward as it may be. She didn't care for insects much at all.

Jalen Tailor - May 23, 2004 10:33 PM (GMT)
Jalen wlaked quickly towards the outdoor class. Mentally, he ran over some spells in his head that he might need. Stunning Spells would be good, but he still hadn't actually knocked anything out. Ah, he'd figure it out during the class. Couldn't be too hard.

As he arrived to where the professor was standing, he greeted him with a friendly "Hello" and sat down on the grass.

Cassandra Mills - May 24, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
As the red headed first year meets up with the rest of the gathered class at the lake she looks around nervously. “Hi err… Professor. I’m here… I think I’ll be able to handle it. I err uh, did some studying and I think I get.” She says looking at the grass. Moving away quickly she looks to see if she could fined someone. I thought he said that he- She spots Jalen. “Oh! Hey Jalen!” She calls out smiling slightly as she heads over to where he was sitting. Sitting down cross-legged on the grass with a now nervous smile she turns to him. “Well. At least there’s one familiar face here. So uh, think you’re ready for what ever we’re doing?”

Aranel Earenore - May 26, 2004 12:23 AM (GMT)
Aranel skipped down to the lake, where some of the other people in her class were already gathering. She was really eager for this class to begin: she had always loved the outdoors. SHe breathed deeply inhaling the scent of outside. Without realizing it she was skipping straight towards a tree. Too late, she looked in front of herself. She ran into the tree, falling backwards and landing on her butt. "Owww, why did you have to be there?" She asked the tree, forgetting that it was rather odd to talk to inanimate objects. It was a weird habit of hers.

Lyndsay Audair - May 26, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
Lyndsay walked briskly down the hall. She always tried to be on time for all classes- "It's the Ravenclaw in you, Lynds. You got that from your mother." Is what her father always said. Unfortunatly, Lyndsay didn't know her mother since she died when Lyndsay was only 4.

When she reached the door, she was about to turn the knob, but was stopped by the note on the door.

Class with be by the Lake today! It said.

She sighed, since the Lake had been where she just was before she went to her Common Room to get her schoolbooks and work. Turning around, she hurried to make it outside.

(Now Outside)

Walking out of the castle, Lyndsay could see a group of people sitting down by the Professor. She hoped she wasn't late, but ran over anyways and sat down quietly, nodding to a few people.

Prof. Aiera Lunaran - May 28, 2004 07:42 PM (GMT)
Seeing the class already gathering, Professor Belaqua quickens her pace down to the lake. Bloody hell... I hope you're not wating for me, dear Aaron. She thinks with a smile as she pulls her hair back to keep it out of the way. "Sorry I'm late Lo-Lunaran." She covers her near slip with a quick smile as she makes her way to Aaron. "There was a bit of a problem in one fo the bathrooms. Seems a young man got stuck in one fo the toilets in the girls bathroom. And unfortuatly beign one of mine I was called in."

She smiles as she looks around the class, most of which was seated around the grass. "My, a lovely gathering I must say. Well, this is your class, just tell me what you need me to do." She says cheerfully, glad she could be of help to him.

Prof. Aaron Lunaran - May 28, 2004 11:19 PM (GMT)
"Well, I suppose we have enough people here to get started." Aaron said, giving Aiera a quick hug, one that made it seem like they were just friends or something. "Alright students, today you will be experiencing first hand the terror caused by the creatures we discussed in class yesterday. First though, we must prepare you, give you a chance to defend yourselves. Does anyone know a spell that can be used effectively to ward off an attacker? And no lasting damage spells, merely spells that give you a chance to escape."

Aaron sat down on the grass where they had gathered and waited for an answer.

"Oh, and Professor, please try not to spoil it for them. Obviously as Charms professor, you have some experience here, but let them figure it out."

Aaron was having a lot of fun pretending to be merely friends with Aiera. It was difficult though.

Cassandra Mills - May 28, 2004 11:36 PM (GMT)
Cassandra smile warmly. She could feel the connection between these two Professors, and even though they acted professonaly towards each other now, Cassie could feel somethign more. She could also feel the guilt and struggle in both of them. Keeping their feelighs hidden was what they had to do, not what they wanted to do.

Cassie! you;re not suposed to be doing this!] She says sharply to herself. Don't go prying into other peoples emotions! That's just wrong! trying to block what she was feeling from everyone out, with very little success, she raises her hand "Uhh... Stupify perhaps? I mean that would stun them right?"

Lyndsay Audair - May 29, 2004 12:04 AM (GMT)
Lyndsay say the way the two teachers interacted with each other, and thought nothing of it. Must be good friends, She thought.

She pondered on the question, thinking about what would be a good spell. She could think of a few, but of course, some of them caused damage and would not be what the professor was looking for. Stupefy, too, was what she had thought of first.

Thinking of one, she shot her hand up, "What about Petrificus Totalus?" She asked, "It would disable you attacker from moving at all, and therefore you could get away without them following you."

Prof. Aaron Lunaran - May 31, 2004 07:26 PM (GMT)
Aaron nodded. "Both of those are excellent spells to be used today. Though, hold off on the Petrificus Totalus today, or else the other students won't have much fun today. Another possibility, of course, is the ever popular Conjunctivitis Curse. Very difficult to catch someone if you can't see them. But for today, let's try to stick with Stupefy. Ten points to Slytherin for getting that one." He winked at Cassandra, glad she'd decided to study and show up prepared.

"Alright, so here is what will happen. In pairs of two, you will be sent into this enclosed area. Within it are some of the creatues we talked about yesterday. They're all very hungry, so keep your eyes pealed." Aaron said, "And let's see, the first set will be... Marie and Alyson. Whenever you are ready. We'll be watching from the outside just in case."

Marie Antoinette - June 7, 2004 06:06 AM (GMT)
First. How lovely. Marie was familiar with the stupefy spell, but being thrust into a cage full of bloodthirsty beasts of all shapes and sizes seemed to quite easily deflate her confidence. Moving at a deliberately slow pace to be sure Alyson was prepared to enter with her, she pulled her wand from her robe pocket and began walking toward the death trap.

"Come along then, Alyson," She sighed, attempting a smile over her shoulder. "I'd say doxies and grindylows are the worst threats, so go for them first, yes?" From inside the enclosed area, a kneazle blinked lazily at her, obviously seeing her as no threat to its wellbeing and therefore a poor reason to waste precious energy.

Just like a cat, that one. She mused.

Alyson Weasley - June 7, 2004 12:31 PM (GMT)
Aly quickly got up off the grass and followed Marie into the cage. She was a bit nervous, but hopefully knew enough about them to be alright.

"Coming." Aly said as she looked around, and then to Marie.

"Yeah, Doxies and Grindylows first. Right." Aly took a breath and took out her wand. Pointing it at a Doxie, she shouted, "STUPEFY!!" It fell over with a thump. Aly slowly put her wand back into her pocket, worried if she had hurt it or not.

Marie Antoinette - June 7, 2004 06:03 PM (GMT)
Slipping into the cage, she moved to stand beside the Ravenclaw girl, nodding with approval at how quickly she'd frozen the doxy in its tracks.

Noticing Alyson put away her wand in her peripheral vision as she stupefied a Red Cap with too much bravado, Marie tsked softly. "You're not finished with that yet, darling." She reminded her.

By now, the kneazle could see what was going on, its fur bristling in anger and large claws prepared for striking. The grindylow wasn't as ready for action as she'd assumed, probably not feeling quite the same in these unfamiliar surroundings and leaving the hard work for its new roommates.

"Stupefy!" The cat-like creature's yellow eyes widened in suprise and fear, seeing the stream of light streaking toward it. When finally hit, the kneazle was frozen in a very undignified, cowering position. Smirking in triumph, she stood tall, raising a questioning brow toward her companion. "You want the last one?"

Audrey Luptowski - June 10, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
Audrey showed up for Defense Against the Dark Arts, late once again to class. This really isn't my week for being on time. Frusterated, she approached the group quietly, trying to hear the directions and what was being discussed.

Marie and Alyson went into a cage full of magical creatures and she could hear them yelling "STUPEFY!" Audrey stood next to a girl whom she did not know, and spotted Cassandra mixed in with the others. Not wishing to disrupt, Audrey remained silent as the two girls finished off the beasts in the cage. Only now did Audrey regret not having studied more and giving her spells a little more practice time.

Wanting to know what precisely was going on, she leaned closely to the girl next to her and asked, "What are they doing?"

Nicole Moody - June 14, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
"It is pretty obvious what they are doing!" Nicole said coming up behind Audrey Luptowski. But the truth of the matter was, Nicole had no real clue as to what they were doing. She had never really attended DADA either, but she figure while she was in the area she might as well stop in.

Nicole had been in the forest riding the stallion of the unicorn herd, Fuego. He was quiet a brilliant creature. Rather than the usual white unicorns, he was black with a purple horn. And his blood was blue, rather than the silver like the norms. The two of them had decided to take a nice gallop around the lake when Nicole spotted the class.

Nicole trotted on up to the professor, "Lovely day for a ride."

Prof. Aaron Lunaran - June 19, 2004 03:58 AM (GMT)
"Ah, good afternoon Nicole. Having fun? And who is this?" Aaron said, walking slowly towards the unicorn. "Rare specimen you have there. Black with a purple horn. Not normally found in the wild. And I see you've befriended him as well. Not often they let you ride them. Are you sure you shouldn't be in Care of Magical Creatures?" Aaron said jokingly. "Would you care to join us? I'm sure you know this stuff, but maybe you can show the younger students a thing or two?"

He motioned for Marie and Alyson to come out of the cage, and then cast "Ennervate" on the stunned creatures.

"Alright, let's have Nicole and... Lindsay. You two next."

February Redamsule - June 19, 2004 12:05 PM (GMT)
February ran down to the Lake after seeing the note Prof. Lunaran had left on the door. She hoped she wasn't too late... She approched an almost full class and stood in the back hoping nobody would notice. Noticing a fellow Gryffindor She walked over to Pandora. "Hey, what are we doing to day?" she said as she snuck by a few Ravenclaws and a Slytherin girl.Waiting for Pandora to replie she flicked a bug off her arm and then cleaned her finger in her robes.

Nicole Moody - June 22, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
Nicole shook her head. "Sorry professor. No D.A.D.A. for me." Nicole said with a wink. "Yeah this is Fuego. I don't know how is coloration came to be, but here he is. He doesn't like much people, usually only me." Nicole said looking at Lunaran. "But I guess he doesn't seem to mind you much." Nicole threw her leg back over Fuego's back, dismounting. "I just came by to see how your class was. Heard you guys were out here. But I am not up for actually learning anything right now."

Lyndsay Audair - June 24, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
Lyndsay perked up at hearing her name called. Ah, it's my turn next...I wonder who my partner is? She had been daydreaming for most of the class and had missed that part. She licked her lips and smirked as she stood up. Only to frown when she heard, "... But I am not up for actually learning anything right now." Oh..so I guess she was going to be my partner. She shrugged and turned to the teacher, wondering what she was supposed to do now, considering her partner...wasn't her partner after all.
