Title: Leon Aniya
Description: Character Description

Leon Aniya - April 15, 2004 03:01 AM (GMT)
Character Name: Leon Aniya

House: Slytherin

Blood Type: Half-blood

Family Information: Leon's parents are both dead. His mother was a muggle, and his father a wizard. His mother was the source of the ridicule Leon's father received from the rest of his family and the wizarding world. Therefore, he murdered Leon's mother, his wife, one night, and then in grief from his actions, killed himself, leaving Leon without anyone while he was but a baby.

Hometown: Leon's caretaker is an old wizard, but Leon never stays in the wizard's orphanage. As soon as he can, every night, and sometimes for days, Leon creeps out and goes to see his friends, the notorious beggars of London.

Physical Description: Leon is of medium height. His mal-nutrition has prevented him from growing to the skies, but he is far from miniscule. On average, it could be estimated at about 4'11'' - 5'0'', which is pretty high up from the ground for an 11 year old. His eyes are of dark color that many know not the color. In fact, not many even get close enough to see his eye color or hair color, because most would rather stay away. For attire, he presents himself as common, in neither begging clothes, but not rich clothes. Really, it is what is scraped up by his caretaker, and the good will of his family friends that sometimes see him, though pay rather short visits...

Psychological Description: Leon is, what some call, the man's man on the outside. However, on the inside, he is somewhat a mouse. Women like him because he is handsome and all that, but he knows better. The reason he is alone is that his personality is rather negative. He talks little, interacts little, and is so anti-social, it should be fined. Honestly, he sometimes thinks, why don't people just understand when someone wants to be left alone? Of course, no one ever does. This is not saying Leon is cold. He would stick up for a friend in need with his life, for he is very loyal. His defining attribute is his religious stand-point. Though he associates himself with many evil things, his life on the streets has brought him closer to his Father in Heaven, though, he persists with drugs, alchohol, smoking and the lesser parts of life. If one wanted a visual object, he has a mind of an unmade bed, because he has not had the parents to help make it.

History: Leon's life has been a model of desolation, hidden by a bright face and smile. Born from the start into poverty, Leon was a mere product of the brutality of the dark streets of London not shown on television. His poor life started off down the path of pain when he was two years old. his father, a wizard, had been mocked because of his marriage to a muggle woman, Leon's mother. Finally, after he had taken enought, Leon's father murdered Leon's mother while she was sleeping. Then, horrified by his actions, his father murdered himself, leaving Leon asleep in the next room.

It must have been a day or two before the neighbors, complaining about Leon's crying and the nasty smell, barge in and found Leon crying in his crib, while his two dead parents lay on the floor. From then on, until he was about 8, he was moved around London, attending differant orphanages. When he was 8, however, he took off and began his couple years of wandering the streets as begger, a profession he had grown quite accustomed and quite excellent at. One day, however, he was spotted by a wizard while begging for money from him and he was "taken in" to the man's own orphanage, even though he played the front of muggle quite well.

For then next couple years, Leon merely did the Leon-thing and continued begging in the street for money he could get, whenver he could give the old wizard the slip. However, one day, something differant happened. He had turned around one day and tipped a tea cup off the table. It smashed on the ground and she was terribly frightened for breaking something so valuable. He closed his eyes with fear, and when he reopened them, the tea went back in the cup and the cup flew right back up on to the table. A few hours later he had a yellowing envelope in his lap and a month later, with a teary good bye from the old wizard, he was on the train to Hogwarts.

His life was hard there as well, but this time he had work to do, and no where to beg. He had to concentrate on studying, something he was very happy that the wizard had paid for entirely. The old man was most proud of him when he returned home every year and welcomed him home. Leon never stayed long though, preferring the streets better. He lived for days out of the orphanage, drinking on street corners with the money he had gained from his earlier begging excursions.

Leon was indeed a product of desolation, for his drinking escalated, as did his influenece with drugs and with gangs. He was arrested a few times, but never charged with anything serious, as he was an orphan. Pity was clearly on his side, but after leaving the slammer each time, he would be found with another drink in his hand or smoking something foul. Hogwarts got harder for him with each year, and he didn't like being there much. He had no friends or even acquaintance. He didn't know anyone personally, but after watching others for 7 years, he knew everyone very well down to the date and time they were born to how they liked their eggs.

Quiet and solomn, he had always been, and he usually doesn't speak a word all day. There is no "Can I borrow a Quill" or "Pass the bacon" from him. If he needed something, he would do without it, rather than speak to anyone. He always sits at the end of the table, in the corner and/or in the dark where no one would see him.

Again, a product of a life of desolation...

Wand: 12 inches, dragon-heartstring

Pet(s): Cheerful white mouse named Chipper for his innocent stare and gentle nature. The mouse was found outside his orphanage the summer before he went to Hogwarts, and was almost eaten by the wizard caretaker's cat. Leon had saved it and taken it in. They have some sort of bond, though Leon knows not what of...

Broom: not applicable

HPU Information: not applicable

Other Information: Leon is 11 years old. Special request pending...

Special Request: Animal Communication w/ Chipper

Reason: While not completely developed to the point that the two of them can sit and have a conversation about something long and drawn out, Leon and his mouse Chipper have a strange connection. He knows not how it came about, and really only Leon knows, while the wizard has some hint. The power is really that Leon senses things about Chipper, because he is really Leon's only friend, which would logically denote that the two of them have a bond. However, the mouse in question is really the one with the powers in this relationship. The orphanage is positioned down the streets from one tavern unknownst to Leon until he got his Hogwarts letter, the Leaky Cauldron. Through said tavern is a door. On the other side of that a wall of brick. And beyond that an alley called Diagon Alley. Just inside this wizarding haven is a store called the Magical Menagerie. And all over the store run mice. It would be logical that many such mice escape and manage to get through the wall and tavern and onto the street. Such a mouse, one day in mid-July, found itselt out of the door of the tavern and face-to-face with Whiskers, a wizard-ophanage owner's cat. Such cat was stopped from having a take-out luncheon by one boy.

The boys name was Leon.

The mouse, in a way of thankfulness and homage, took shelter with Leon. The boy in question took to the mouse, because it was the only one who would now of the problems of the street. Like a friend. And so the mouse worked its magic into Leon, and therefore giving them a bond. However unexplainable to humans and wizards, the mouse knows of the connection, and cherishes it as much as Leon. Therefore, the two have grown strong in their relationship, and still do, and will forever continue in their friendship. Leon, for one, will assure it.

Hello, I would just like to say that when I casted everything for my avatar and signature (well what was my signature), and as per the description I wrote and history, I put Leon as his 7th Year. But for some reason (I dont know why) he appears to be 11. So the way I wrote my history would connote that I meant 17, but odd voices in my ears told me 11. Sorry!
