Title: Jonathan Wirtz
Description: Character Description

Jonathan Wirtz - February 23, 2004 12:04 AM (GMT)
Character Name: Jonathan Wirtz
House: Slytherin
Blood Type: half-blood

Family Information and history: Father was a wizard, and came from Bavaria, mother is a muggle from Switzerland. Jon has a younger brother and a sister. Father worked as a jeweler and in a mint, got killed in a robbery when Jon was eight. The family was poor, because mother was a potter, and the times were hard. That meant Jon had to help his mother earn some money. He quickly found out about his magical abilities, and his artistic talent. He soon learned to use magic to make amazing sculptures using transfiguration, and also very nice paintings with his wand. He earned barely enough money to be able to attend school, but his mother managed to get work in an atelier, and they lived in a small house in a mountain town, so the living costs weren’t too high. Ever since he was 13, he was using magical school bus, (similar to the Knight Bus), to get to Helvetien Schwarzkunst Akademie wizarding school and back daily. He worked hard at school, and spent his free time practicing arts. The life went well for a few years, and Jon could afford to go for education elsewhere. He longed to improve English, and also local customs and crafts, so Hogwarts was the obvious choice.

Hometown: Appenzell

Physical Description: Jon is rather well built, but not very muscular, not taller than 6’. Has blond hair and deep blue eyes, delicate and soft hands. However, he is not very attractive.

Psychological Description: Hard working, friendly, crafty, silent, a bit shy from the outside at first, when he’s getting to know people, but self-confident otherwise. He’s very sensitive and understanding, doesn’t know prejudice. He tends to be confused and introvert (not selfish, though) in general. Loses his temper very seldom only, is a good boy, being brought up at home by his mom. He’s also rather creative about other things apart from the arts. Speaking of arts, he considers magic to be one, and his alternative approach has it’s advantages and disadvantages alike. He likes heights and flying (but has not enough money to buy his own broom)
Enough of rambling, he will develop further during play.

History: above

Wand: 12.5 inches, oak wood, unicorn hair
Pet(s): a kitty called Argent
Broom: none
HPU Information: none (yet)
Other Information: 16 y/o, is in 5th year (despite of having only 3 years of magical education)

Special Request: Affinity for wandless transfiguration
Reason: It is something that fits for this character, his skills and background. I can't very well imagine him doing detailed sculptures with his 12in long wand. (doing a sculpture is not a swish-swish-flick thing, it takes hours of concentration. on every single detail.) Yes, with this ability, he'd be able to transfigure things without a wand, (when speaking of transfiguration here, I don't mean turning animals into water goblets. I mean subtly changing shape of the subject, and possibly even it's material (like stone into wood)) but the transfiguration would be much slower, and weaker than normal, being suitable for fine work of arts. (however, there surely are other ways of putting it into good use)
