Mewtwo Returns is a sequel. In Mewtwo Strikes Back, Mewtwo is born, begins to hate humans, but finally comes to his senses when Ash and Mew show him that all humans aren't bad.

In Mewtwo Returns, Mewtwo is still a bit dis-trustful of humans, but he's not trying to take over the world. When Ash saves his life, he begins to see that not all people are bad.
