Well, I'm against most dubs. Especially when they change the NAME of the anime. It hurts. ;-; Fooly Cooly makes it sound all blargh, you know? I LIKED FLCL so yeah. ...it's also painful when character names are changed/spelt wrong. or said wrong.

Actually since its written out in katakana(japanese character set for "out of Japan" words), Furi Kuri=Fooly Cooly. Hence it being abbreviated FLCL(FooLyCooLy).

This morning, my bro(not neo) downloaded the show! I loved it! it's like inu yasha except its only ninjas not demons. It was also funny, though. *laughs* Hahahahaha. :D

I have to admit that Naruto's story line is much more clearer than Inu-Yasha's story line


also In Japan they don't pronounce the letter R the show is supposed to be named Furi Curi (FRCR) I don't have FLCL yet here but I am still waiting or downloading some eps.. boylove hehehe

OK, that sentence did not make any sense. And what gave you the idea that they don't pronounce the letter R in japan? Of course they do, they have a hiragana and katakana set for R sounds. Ra, Ri, Ru, Re, Ro.

Edit: OK, I think you meant L sounds. Yeah japanese don't have L sounds, but R sounds in Katakana are used to indicate L sounds. Such as the word Riifu, which is Leaf when written in Katakana.

Difference between Hiragana and Katakana:
Hiragana: Japanese words are written in this set. Words such as Tsuki(Moon), Sakura(Cherry Blossom) etc.
Katakana: Words for out of japan words, such as Game(Geemu), Football(Futtobooru).

Japan was getting a lot more westernized after WWII. In Japan, a lot of words started getting derived from English words, and they started to get used more than some Japanese words. So there would be a good difference in speaking to an elderly Japanese person and a young japanese person.

Explanation for FLCL: It's supposed to be Fooly Cooly, but apparently they can't pronounce L sounds. So when japanese people speak the title, it comes out as Furi Kuri.
