Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone


Harry Potter starts off (like every other book) at the Dursley's house on Number 4 as a baby. He was left there by Proffessor McGonnagal, Headmaster Dumbledoor, and Hagrid. From then on, his aunt Petunia, uncle Vernon, and their son Dudley, would be the one's who raised him....until he turns eleven, but i'll get to that later.
While getting the mail, Harry notice a letter for him. It was heavy, as it was written on parchment with green ink. It had a funny seal on the back also. When trying to open it, it was intercepted by Mr. Dursley, who realized who it came from almost instantly, and tore it up. Days after, Harry kept getting more and more letters. On one Sunday, when no post was to be expected to Uncle Vernon's delight, hundreds and hundreds of letters came shooting into the house. Uncle Vernon then decided to go away, where he thought they wouldn't be found....but he was wrong
In their shack on a little bit of an island, the Dursley's once again, didn't seem to notice it was Harry's birthday, like the other ten years preceeding it, but Harry had gotten used to it by then. He looked at Dudley's watch, and saw that it had turned midnight. Just then, a loud bang at the door started harry and everyone at the house. The door was knocked down, and in the doorway apeared a very large man.
He introduced himself as Hagrid, Keeper of the Keys at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Harry gave a confused look and didn't seem to know what this man was talking about, Hagrid gave him the same letter he had been trying to recieve in the mail. Uncle Vernon cut in and declared that Harry will not go to this school. Harry was told he was a wizard, and became confused. He read his letter, which stated:

Dear Mr. Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equpment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Hagrid then told Harry the truth about Harry's parent's death. How Voldemort killed Harry's parents when he was only a baby. How Voldemort then tried to kill Harry, but was unable to. Hagrid took Harry back to the mainland, and showed him Diagon Alley.

When they got to Diagon Alley, there first stop was Gringott's bank. They traveled by railway cart along the twisting and turning paths to Harry's vault. Harry's parents had left him a lot of money. Then they made a stop at voult 713. Hagrid took a small package out, and told Harry that it was strict Hogwarts business. They then proceeded to buy all of Harry's supplies. A gift of Harry's from Hagrid was a new owl, Hedwig.

Harry then went to the train station to Platform 9 3/4. This confused Harry, because even he knew that there was no platform by the name of 9 3/4. But there was. It was located between platforms nine and ten. He made it on the platform, and then on the train where he met Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy and his friends: Crabb and Goyle. The then arrived ate the school.

They were taken to the Great Hall by boat. In the Great Hall, they went through a sorting made by a hat, by the name of, what else, the Sorting Hat. It sorted every first year student into each house, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all put in Gryffindor. The houses available were: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. They then started the feast.

Days after, Harry attended his classes and met new teachers. His least favorite of which was Proffessor Snape. Snape had put Harry on the spot in class, and humiliated him. One day, Malfoy challenged harry to a wizard's duel. But when harry went to the the place they were going to duel, he found that it was a trap, and was almost caught by the school janitor: Mr. Filch. They ran out of the room and tried to find refuge in a forbidden area. They went into one room to fine that there was a huge 3-headed dog. Hermione also noticed that the dog was standing on a trap door.

Then, Halloween rolled around. While at the feast, Harry's Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher came running in yelling that there was a troll in the dungeons! Harry and Ron knew that Hermione was in the girls bathroom crying because Ron had made fun of her earlier. They ran in to warn her, to find that the troll had gone in there too. Hermione was in trouble, and Harry and Ron knew they had to help her. By levitating the troll's club, ron had been able to knock it out. The teacher's then came in and found the troll, and took points away from Hermione, but gave points to Ron and Harry.

Harry went through many other encounters. He learned how to fly a broom, and when McGonagall saw him, she gave him a new Nimbus Two Thousand ( the best model at the time), and put him as the Seeker for the Quidditch team. In the first Quidditch match, Harry had caugght the snitch in his mouth, but since he still caught it, he woin them the game. When Christmas came, harry recieved a cloak from his father...a cloak that made you invisible. He used it one night to find a strange mirror. When he looked in the mirror, he saw his whole family. He showed the mirror to ron to see if Ron could his parents, but when ron looked in, he saw himself with a lot of awards and honors. Harry then spent many nights in front of the mirror watching his parents, but Dumbledoor came and told him that this mirror showed what a person desired, and that it would be moved.

As time went on, they realized that the three-headed dog was guarding something. And then they figured it must have been what Hagrid took from the bank. And then they did some research (with some help from a "loudmouth" hagrid), and found out about a man called Nicolas Flammel who helped create the Sorcerer's Stone. This stone would give eternal life to anyone who had it. And they figured Voldemort would want it. Meanwhile, Hagrid had gotten an egg from a mysterious man in a local pub, and it turned out to be a dragon egg. Hagrid had always wanted a dragon. when it hatched, it bacame more trouble than it was worth, so Harry, Ron, and Hermione had arranged that it would be sent off with Ron's brother Charlie who works with Dragons in Romania. When returning to Gryffindor tower after sending the dragon off, they were caught by McGonagall and were each deducted 50 points from Gryffindor, plus detention in the Forbidden Forest.

While in the Forbidden Forest, they were on the trail of a hurt unicorn. Harry found the unicorn and a cloaked figure that started to approach him. A centaur then attacked the cloaked figure. He then realized that the cloaked figure was Voldemort, who had been staying alive living off unicorn blood.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron, then knew they had to get the Sorcerer's Stone before the man they suspected: Snape. They thought snape was going to steal it for Voldemort. When they went to the trap door, they remembered that to get the dog to sleep they had to play music. So they did, and jumped down to find themselves in Devil's Snare. They got out of this by performing a fire spell, and then moved on to find a knocked out troll. They knew that snape must have already been through, so the moved ahead. They went into a room with many "birds" flying around, and figued out that they are keys, and that they must catch one to unlock the door on the other side of the room. Once they moved on, they found a giant chess board, and found out they had to play their way across. Ron sacraficed himself to keep the others going. In the next room, Harry and Hermione found a bunch of Potions and a riddle. One potion got them through the door on the other side, while one led them back. Hermione used her logic skills, and gave harry the one that led them through, and she took the one that led them back, so she could help ron.

When harry went into the next room. He found the professor and the mirror of Erised. But it wasn't Snape, it was Professor Quirrell. Voldemort had used the Prof.'s body has a host. Harry knew that the Sorcerer's Stone had to be in this room. He looked at the mirror and saw himself putting the stone in his pocket. Voldemort knew this and ordered Quirrel to get him, but whenever Quirrel touched him, his hand burned. Harry put his hand on Quirrel's face, and Quirrel then burned up. When Voldemort left the body, he passed through harry's and made Harry pass out. When he woke up, he was in the hospital wing, and Dumbledoor explained what had happened to him and his friends. The end of the year came, and harry and his friends had earned enough points to win the house cup for Gryffindor. He then got on the train home, and awaited for next year.
