November’s Project (Due by December 15th)

This month we will have our first major project of the year. As you may or may
not know, each year I assign two projects. One in November and the other in
March. These projects are mandatory, due to the fact that November’s
project counts as your Mid-term.

This month’s project will be a book report. Each student is required to submit
a 3-5 page book report on their favorite Harry Potter book. Basically, you
summarize what you have read in the book. To earn extra points you may want
to add an analysis of the book. Those who chose to do a report on Harry Potter
and The Order of The Phoenix will earn themselves extra points, since we have
not covered the book in-depth. If you have any questions please direct them to

Grading Rubric:

Your book report is 3-5 pages and meets all basic standards- 40 points
Your book report is 3-5 pages and includes an analysis- 50 points
Your book report is 3-5 pages, includes an analysis, and is based on OOTP- 60
points
