Which creature appeals to you? Give a brief statement as to why you find that creature fascinating. If you choose "other" specify which creature you are talking about. :D

Werewolves fascinate me so much. I love reading mythology and ancient legends about them (and regular wolves as well). It also seems like such a tragic way to go through life. Like with what happened to Lupin. It's tragic, but still cool.

It is very difficult to choose becouse I think werewolves, pheonixes AND unicornes are very fascinating.

The Pheonix is most facsinating to me...I was talking about this subject in the Roost not too long ago. I studied up on the pheonix----- It said that it is a fabled bird of greek mythology always red, gold and purple feathers, and that their was only one bird that existed at any one time and it was always male. It lived to be adactly 500 years old then burned itself on a funeral pyre. The new bird emerges from the ashes then carries the remains of its father to the alter of the Sun God in an Egyptian city, Helipolis. -------this represented spiritual rebirth the symbol of immortality----then it stated that the Greeks probably took the idea from the Egyptians and their Benu Bird which looked similar to a stork ---same story --both birds represent the sun and dies in flames and is reborn from ashes.
(Of course here in HOl at the Ravenclaw Roost we happen to have the first female Blue & Gold Pheonix as our House Pet ! ) :P

heh, I picked like seven, so I'll just make a general comment. Practically all the creatures in JKR's books are just as fascinating to me as... well, as Hogwarts's history--which I'd love to learn about too. There's different traits, qualities, and symbolisms, so it's so hard for me to choose. I've always been indecsive about things, and I've many favorites from the books. And I was so happy when I got the Fantasic Beast and Where to Find Them school books. Even the deadly lethifold was fun to learn about...

I think the phoenix appeals to me the most. When I was reading book 5 I was fasinated how this bird is reborn through its ashes. If you had one as a pet it would never truely die on you.
I also like how its tears can cure,it sounds somewhat musical, and it can lift extremely heavy loads. That can be useful.
The phoenix is also a beautiful bird to look at.

I think the unicorn is the most fascinating creature

If only look at the way creatures are portrayed in HP book, without much considering everything we know apart from that, I would say Phoenixes. There is really a lot to do with them, or rather him, because the one and only phoenix is Fawkes. He is truly interesting, and got me to take a closer look at those fantastic birds, because I honestly never payed that much attention to them, unlike others, such as unicorns or centaurus(es?).

I have to say the phoenix. First off, the fact that when it dies, it's reborn. And how it can heal you, and all that other stuff. That'd be an awesome bird to have as a pet. :D
