Title: Prisioner Of Azkaban Movie

Prof. Nina Atlas - April 2, 2004 09:08 PM (GMT)
So, have you seen the trailers for the prisoner of Azkaban yet? Im sure you have! What do you think about the movie so far? I know it's a new director and all, im sort of going to miss the old hair Draco had. As well as the old uniforms. I do infact like the new quidditch unifroms though, not too sure abotu the googles but what can you do?

Im surprised by how much pink Hermione wears in the movie. She never did come off as the "pink" type of girl. I didn't really licture Prof.Lupin to have a mustcahe either, maybe I missed that in the book somewhere.

I just hope the movie lives up to it's expectations. As long as it does it should be just as good, maybe even better than the last two!

I was really anxious to see the first images of PoA because it's still my favorite book of the serie. But so far what I see, I really like!

The second trailler is really exciting! A little detail that I really like is the wizzard photo of James and Lily dancing. It looks really great.

Profesor Lupin is one of my favorite character along with McGonnagal, and I was also a bit shock to see him with a mustache. I just re-read PoA and there's no mention of it....unless I over read..And in one of the trailer still pic we can even see that he have a scar running across his face, from left to right....strange but kinda of cool, it reminds me of Albator  I don't knoww if any of you know him it was a cartoon character and serie from the 80's and he was a really cool and hunky pirate with a scar. Anyway I love David Thewlis, having seen some of his previous movie, and I think it will be the perfect Remus. As for McGonnagal I really like the little bit in the Three Broomsticks where she's on the couch with her Gillywater. She seems more relax.

It's true, Hermione seems to waer a lot of pink
And I have to say I cheer everytime I see her punch Malfoy even if in the book she just slap him.

About the quidditch scene you mentioned it's not in the trailer. Have you seen a picture of it somewhere? If so I'd really like to have the link to take a look at this.

I saw some really great pics of Harry and Buckbeak and it looks fantastic! A really realistic bird.

There is one other question on my mind. Where do the shrunked Jamaican head on the Knight bus come from ?????

The thing that reassures me is that JK has her word to say about the movie but does she let the director take creative initatives? ...like a shrunked head maybe??

But I'm really excited about PoA. Visually I beleive that it will be the best movies of the lot so far. I think Cuaron will pass the test 150% :P

I believe I did see pictures of Harry in his Quidditch uniform. If you go to http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org they have lots of news, and pictures! Im sure you could find some awsome pictures there!

As for the Head on the night bus, I think J.K. let Cuarso add his own little touch to the movie. I guess it shall work. It's a weird to have a head danggling on the bus

Thanks Prof!
I'm already a regular visitor of the Leaky-Cauldron, but somehow the pic your talking about is not there (anymore?). I found another link to it and I definetely remember seing it in some news article in the Leaky-Cauldron. For those intereted to see it go to:
PoA Quidditch

...and it's true the goggles look a little weird...

I've watched the trailors many times, and looked at all the pics I could find from the movie. It looks good, but I don't like all the changes.

Like, the school uniform. Now it's supposed to be closer to what they actually wear in the books, but it seems no closer to me, since in the books they only wear a plain black robe. I don't see any point in changing the uniform, it was fine before, and it's not like now it's a whole lot better.

In the trailor, I like the part where Hermione grabs Ron's hand, and there's the swkward bit (since I believe they'll eventually get together), but they're putting in these Ron/Hermione bits WAY too early! There's no mentions of any of it until GoF, but they're doing too much with it too soon.

I'm ok with the fact that they're wearing Muggle clothes more, since during those scenes they're not in school so they wouldn't technichally have to wear their robes, but I don't really like the clothes that Hermione's wearing. She definatly doesn't seem like a girl who'd wear pink, or a rainbow belt! Also on Hermione, they changed her hair again! In the first movie it was really bushy, then in the second it was curly, now it's a lot shorted, and not quite as curley. And look at this pic:

Hermione in Class

What's with that? Her hair looks like it's pulled back really neatly or something, when we all know it's supposed to be really bushy and all. If she looks like this now, it won't be that big of a deal when we see her looking really pretty at the Yule Ball!

I know I'm being really nit picky, but I can't really help it. OK, well I probably could, but it just bugs me. Don't get me wrong, I'll totally be there opening day in my costume to see the movie, and I'm sure I'll love it, and it probably will be better than the first two were. It's just that I want the impossible, the movies to perfectly reflect the books, and we all that's sadly never going to happen.
