The book that my report is on is Harry Potter and the Sorcerors Stone

This books starts off has Harry, who's one years old, is put on the doorstep of his aunt and uncle's house by Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore is the headmaster at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardtry. Harry has to live with his uncle and aunt now because both his parents just died. They were killed by Lord Voldemort who was one of the most terrible wizards of all time. Harry's mother tryed to save him by throwing herself in front of Harry, but she died the same fate has her husband just did. When it came time to kill Harry the spell back fired and Harry was left with only a lightning bolt scar on his head. Voldemort beacme weak and went into hiding. All over the world witches and wizards threw parties over the Boy who lived and Voldemort being weak. Now Harry grew up with his muggle aunt and uncle and thier fat child Dudley. He grew up not treated very well and not knowing that he himslf was a wizard. He knew of his parents only what his Uncle and aunt told him that they died in a car crash and thats how he got that scar. Around his elven birthday in the summer letters were being sent be owls to his house. They were really acceptance letters to Hogwarts but Harry did not know this seeing that his Uncle and Aunt would not let him open the letters. Since hundreds of letters were arriving each day Uncle Vernon was going mad. So he took the family to this little cottage on this island so Harry would not recieve any letters. That night on his eleventh birthday he got quite a surprise. Hagrid a half giant who worked at Hogwarts stormed in the little cottage. He told Harry that he was taking him to get his school supplies for Hogwarts. Harry did not know he was a wizard or what Hogwarts was. He did not know any of this because the Dursleys did not tell him that he was a wizard or the truth about his parents. Hagrid tells him that he is a wizard and explains things to him.
They then go to Diagon Alley were he gets his school supplies. He gets everything he needs. He is sad beacuse he does not know why people call him the boy who lived. He asks Hagrid about it, but he told Harry he would know sooner or later. All he knew that Lord Voldemort killed his parents. He gets on the train to Hogwarts were he meets Ron Weasly. They become friends. They reach Hogwarts were they find out which house they are in. The Houses are : Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Sytherin, Ravenclaw. To be sorted into there houses they have to put on the sorting hat. Harry, Ron, ermione (a girl they met on the train who they later become friends with) are all sorted into Gryffindor. A kid they met named Draco Malfoy who they met and id a bully was sorted into Sytherin. Harry is quite popular among the kids since he is the kid who lived. The next day the Daily Prophet comes and says that Gringotts was broken into, but what they wanted was removed the day before. Harry remembers that Hagrid was the one that emptyied that volt the day before. They like most of the teachers but dislike the Potions teacher name Snape. Well Harry, ron, and hermione go out to have a deul with Draco. Of Course Draco does not show up and they are on the run so they don't get cought. They run through this door and inside was a 3 headed dog sitting on a trap door. They think something is being hid under there. Well Halloween comes and Ron says something to hermione to make her cry. She spends the halloween feast in the girls bathroom. Later in the feast Professor Quriell comes running in and says " troll in the Dungen". Harry and Ron worry about Hermione and try to go find her. The Troll was after her in the bathroom! They knocked him out and saved hermione. The next day at breakfast Snape has a hurt leg. They think he was trying to go into the trap door! They ask hagrid about it and he accidentally told them that it was between Nicolas Flamel and Dumbledore. So Harry, Ron, and Hermione are trying to figure out who Nicolas Flamel is. They figure out he has to do with the Sorcerors Stone. They think Snape is after the stone. They want to tell Hagrid thier news and go over to his house. He had a Dragons egg. Something he has always wanted. He told them how he won it, but was shocked on how he accidentlly told the guy how to get through fluffy (Creature guarding the Trap door) The Dragon gets to big and Harry ron and Hermione get out Harrys Christmas Present a Invisble Cloak and go to the roof to ship Harrys Dragon to Charlie. Charlie is Ron's brother who is a expert on Dragons.
On thier way back to thier dorms they get cought and have to serve Detention. They have to spend thier Detention in the Forbidden Forest looking for a hurt Unicorn. They find the unicorn dead with a creature sucking out its blood. Harry's scar hurt. He later found out that anyone who sucked the blood of a unicorn would live forever but at a price. They are now worried the Snape is after the Sorcerors Stone so they are ready to go under the trap door. Somebody already beat them! Fluffy was already to sleep with a harp. So they went under the trap door were they got cought in Devil's Snare. They got through that and then were in a room with a whole bunch of keys flying and brooms. They got through that and were in a room were they had to play lifesize chess. ron had to stay back but Harry and Hermione went on. They were then in a room with a whole bunch of potions only one person could drink the right potion and go through the fire so harry went. But it wasnt Snape in the next room it was Professor Quirell! The miror of Erised put the Stone in Harrys pocket and Professor Quirell was after him! When he took his trubin off Lord Voldemort was under there! But when he tryed to touch harry he turned to stone. harry passed out. When he woke up he was in the Hospital wing. He was ok and they did not get the Sorcerors Stone. harry had escaped Lord Voldemort agian. he goes home for the summer, but next summer he would be back for a second year at Hogwarts!
