Title: Rules
Description: ???

Burning Sheep Productions - June 18, 2003 11:07 AM (GMT)
We need some rules set to each forum, I was supposing we could discuss whats appropriate in this topic.

snabela - June 18, 2003 11:13 AM (GMT)
Good idea! Lets see. If each mod is writing some rules for each their forum and post them here first we could discuss about needs in the rules etc.

Burning Sheep Productions - June 19, 2003 07:03 AM (GMT)
Great!
But first we'll make rules for the overall board.
And it can be in the Annoucements as a sticky.
All rules should be sticky. (Duh).

GameHampe - June 19, 2003 07:13 AM (GMT)
I think:

Don't Swear
Don't Spam
Don't Double Post

Anyone else got ideas?

Burning Sheep Productions - June 19, 2003 07:18 AM (GMT)
In professional talk:

No offensive language.
No spamming or advertising in the wrong place.
No bumping or double posting, edit your post.

snabela - June 19, 2003 07:18 AM (GMT)
Yes. I have.

No discrimination and racism.

Burning Sheep Productions - June 19, 2003 07:41 AM (GMT)
So it's now:

No offensive language.
No spamming or advertising in the wrong place.
No bumping or double posting, edit your post.
No discrimination or racisim.

Respect Other Forum Users.

About rules... There are a few forums I must not write in. But I can read them both (also the mod&admin (not that i'm complaining :D)) and also an add reply button appears. I'm of course not trying but maybe it is possible for me to reply?

Edit: It's not. WAH. :( ;)

Burning Sheep Productions - June 20, 2003 08:50 AM (GMT)
I don't understand, you want to reply in the Admin&Mods forum.

I guess we should bring those topics out into an open area so other can disscus too.
I'll leave that to snabela.

snabela - June 20, 2003 10:56 AM (GMT)
Which forum? Admin and mods?

Burning Sheep Productions - June 21, 2003 07:33 AM (GMT)
I doubt we'll let others post there, it's better to bring topics like the ones in there out here.

Domino - June 28, 2003 02:03 AM (GMT)
How do you not double post? I thought only mods and admins could edit posts? :(

Burning Sheep Productions - June 28, 2003 02:11 AM (GMT)
You can edit posts, that button on the top right hand corner of your post that says edit will edit your post!

Domino - June 28, 2003 02:22 AM (GMT)

Burning Sheep Productions - June 28, 2003 02:24 AM (GMT)
Have some practise, EDIT YOUR POST!!

Domino - June 28, 2003 02:32 AM (GMT)
OK I edited it

Burning Sheep Productions - June 28, 2003 02:36 AM (GMT)
Good.

Domino - June 28, 2003 02:59 AM (GMT)
What about no obcene words or images in sigs or AVs?

snabela - June 30, 2003 11:58 AM (GMT)
Okay. I have added the rules so people can read them. If you want to see them then press "Forum rules" at the top of the screen! No I need to ask. Shall members have permission for repling not posting in the "Annocuments" and "Admin and mods" forum?

Now we shall set some rules for each other forums and then pin the topic. Lets start with the Q&A forum.

GameHampe - June 30, 2003 02:27 PM (GMT)
No! I don't think users hould be able to reply in announcements and Mods & Admins.

Domino - June 30, 2003 11:49 PM (GMT)
Hey cool, my rule is up there!!!

Burning Sheep Productions - July 1, 2003 05:45 AM (GMT)
I see no problem in letting users into our conversations.
I'm for it.

Erik - July 1, 2003 07:54 AM (GMT)
As a member my vision on that is of course different but anyway
Some of the discussions going on out there are, in my eyes, hints for ideas or help (We need more members how we gonna DO that) and maybe a member has an idea on how to do this but if you can't reply it's quite the job to go and PM someone just becouse you have an idea for them. Also, there's a prize discussion, ending with "ask them what's a good prize". Every member can read that but not answer the question until it's asked in the open forum. ..
The point I'm making, is that a forum discussing problems without the members being able to post is quite inconvenient.

Hm... sorry BSP, i replied to page 1, and it appeared on page 2 so it is not an answer to your post.

Burning Sheep Productions - July 4, 2003 01:04 PM (GMT)
You're backing up my point and there's nothing wrong with that.

Monkster - August 17, 2003 09:15 PM (GMT)
how about no porno? or romz? or warez?

Burning Sheep Productions - August 18, 2003 07:47 AM (GMT)
No illegal material or linking to it.

Monkster - August 18, 2003 05:02 PM (GMT)
one more thing, it would be more professional if instead of saying:

If you don't respect the rules a lot then you will be banned

You should say,

If you disrespect the rules frquently, you WILL be banned.

Much better don't you think?

Burning Sheep Productions - August 19, 2003 09:03 AM (GMT)
Or this:
If you break the rules more than three times, you will be banned.

snabela - August 19, 2003 10:49 AM (GMT)
Okay. Thanks. I will update the rules soon.

Monkster - August 23, 2003 05:42 PM (GMT)
Good to hear it! :D

BomberJake - August 24, 2003 12:45 AM (GMT)
how bout no n00b questions in the non-n00b forums! try and keep out n00bs from spamming up areas like advanced topics for example. just a suggestion...

Burning Sheep Productions - August 24, 2003 12:50 AM (GMT)
Nah, that's being a bit descrimative.

Monkster - August 24, 2003 01:31 AM (GMT)
ya bomberjake...don't decriminate against n00bs, there human too! (i think...)
