Kazumi was traveling to the villiage of Ikaruga, a villiage known for it's tournaments and duels. He was wearing his secondary outfit meant for speed. He jsut reached the villiage and started heading to the center of the villiage, where the dueling arena was at. He passed blacksmiths, houses, and markets. He saw people of all different classes, lancers, warriors, assasins, ninja's, samurai's, archers, and any other you can imagine. When he finally reached the arena he saw a referee and two warriors fighting each other, one with a sword and the other had an axe. Spectators surrounded the battle. He could hardly see the battle so you checked out a sign that said "Dueling Rules." He began to read the rules:
1. You must not kill the opponent.
2.You cannot use any items such as potions, you can only use your equipments.
3. You must wait in line.
4. A referee will tell you when to go and will say who the winner is.
5. There are 2 winning conditions, 1.Knock the opponent off the arena. 2. Whoever gives up first.
Kazumi then saw that the warrior with the sword kicked his opponent off the arena and the spectators near the area where he fell moved aside, then he heard the referee blow a whistle and said "Itsaku loses! Yutashi wins!" The referee then handed the victor some gold. Then he walked off the field. Then he saw the line move and remembered to get into the line so he ran into line, awaiting his turn.
Finally, after many battles, some that were quick, some that were long, it was finally Kazumi's turn. He went up to the arena, followed by a man in a cloak. He reached to the sheath on his back and pulled out his lance. The opponent pulled off his cloak and threw it into the spectators. He was wearing an iron armor, armor pants, armor plated boots, and had a long sword. The referee then spoke, "are both contestants ready?" Both of us nodded. "Good, on the count of 3 go, 1, 2, 3!" Kazumi ran towards the enemy and stabbed his spear out in front of himself, hoping to inflict damage onto his enemy. The crowds were cheering Ratisha, "so thats his name," I thought to myself. Ratisha ducked down and shot his sword up and hit Kazumi's spear, causing it to fly up and him to stumble back. Ratisha then ran towards him and slashed vertically, but Kazumi blocked with the handle of his spear and then dashed sideways, bringing his spear from it's current position to a position where its blade was facing upwards and pushed it left. This surprised the opponent and as the spear pushed the sword sideways he dropped it. Then, Kazumi seeing his chance slashed his spear sideways, and made a clashing sound as it collided with the armor. He continued swinging the spear and spinned with it and when he came back to face his opponent again he slashed up and then flew it down, hitting Ratisha's head, splitting it in half. He made blood fly everywhere. He fell to his knees, and fell to the ground with a thud. Everyone stopped cheering and stared at the scene, surprised at the sudden event. The referee yelled, "Ratisha loses, Kazumi wins!" He then handed him 50 gold. Kazumi got off stage, being stared at as he approached the inn. When he got there he handed the inn keeper 5 gold and then went to rest.
