Okay, I don't even know if anyone here likes this series (personally, it's earned a spot in my top four) but, the new dub, by Funimation, just premiered last Saturday. In my opinion, it was freakin' awesome. All the new voices (as well as the opening) are wonderful. Anyone else see it?

And yes, 4Kids did get One Piece ("did" as in past tense) and tortured and butchered it 'till there was nothing left. Then they went bankrupt (WOOT), or so I've heard. Now Funimation owns it. Other than the fact that they're picking up where 4Kids left off, everything's new. Voices (THEY IS AWESOME!), opening theme (sung by Vic Mignogna), and the edits aren't nearly as ridiculous. in fact, I do believe Sanji got his cigarette back...

Edit: Scratch that, they just edited it out completely. Now why didn't 4Kids think of that...?

Anywho...If you get the chance, go watch it. Seriously. I think some people already uploaded it on Youtube.

Yeah, Zoro's still Zolo and Ace is still Trace. There are a couple titles they had to keep cuz of 4Kids, but they're coming out with uncut dvds that should have all the original names. (You can tell I researched this quite a bit.

Well, apperently it kept the guests from "interacting" with each other or something. Maybe instead of a party we could do like, a Halloween adventure or something, where people could pop up at one point and then leave at another.

*laughs* I remember I stopped watching that series at some point. Was the blood green or something? All I can remember was Freeza having purple blood in DBZ.

I watched the first episode of One Piece, and decided that was enough; the original dub wasn't very good, and honestly, I didn't much like the character designs or animation. My brother watches it, though, and I had heard Funimation was taking over (though not that 4Kids was bankrupt) - this can only be an improvement! And Vic is signing the opening song?? I'll have to listen to that!

As for a party, I'd go! I miss the parties we used to have around here; one of my other boards has parties, but it's a general-anime-fan-board, and the yaoi/yuri fans have turned all the parties into yaoi/yuri fests. It really sucks! And I can't even complain to the mod, because the mod is one of them! She's usually even handed and fair, but when it comes to the parties, she's on the yaoi/yuri side, no ifs, ands, or buts. *cough,* Sorry, it still annoys me. Anyway, getting some life back into this board would be great!

Oh yeah, and I can forgive Frieza having purple blood, he's an alien, after all, and I think it was purple in the original Japanese, too. And I know that in both the original and the edited dub of Sailor Moon, Nephlite bled green before he died. But humans bleed red, that's all there is to it.

Not in Knights of the Zodiac...They bled green and I think the dubbers covered it up as being 'Mystic Energy' or some BS like that.So all the fans of Saint Seiya who watched it started saying they bleed Gatorade.

To be honest, I'm a sucker for good cartoons. Realistic-looking anime doesn't appeal much to me. I don't blame you for stopping then. After watching the Japanese for a while, Luffy's old dub voice made my ears bleed. Seriously! I was cringing!

I don't think you can start an rpg by yourself; I think the section has been locked so only one of the Fems or P-chan can start a game. As for Kiba, you could certainly try!

It depends on who you messaged. I seem to be the only one who frequents this board right now. Nie-chan is in Egypt, Ty-chou's always busy, Pan-Pan frequents some obnoxious journal RPG type boards :P , P-chan and I share a computer so he doesn't get on much. ;)
So .. Um.. Yeah.. Uh.. I'll ask around and see if anyone cares. Maybe I can get P-chan to start something.
