Title: Rah Xephon
Description: What is this about?

Does anyone here know anything about a series called Rah Xephon (not sure if it's one word or two...)? See, I stumbled across an episode of it the other day on a channel I don't usually watch, and it was an ep from the middle of the series, so I had no idea what was going on. However, any series that has three shots of its lead bishonen - who is very hot, letmetellyou - butt naked in its opening sequence is enough to make me curious! So, any of you watch this show?

I've seen a good portion of the show, at least, MOST of the first half or so, give or take an episode or two. I really like what I've seen and can't wait to finish the rest, but I'll have to, so I will.
Basically, you have this kid, Asato I think? Who lives in Tokyo, has friends, paints, goes to high school, likes to take the trains with his friends.. and endures random attacks to Tokyo by strange musical aliens. One day, during one such attack, he sees a lot more than he bargained for, including a girl he's pretty sure that he goes to high school with, yet his friends don't really remember.. and he ends up inside a giant mecha of sorts with wings on it's head. There are people who bleed blue, and some who bleed red.. and lots of fighting with the strange sing-y alien things.. Then this girl comes and talks him into leaving with her, and turns life as he knows it totally upside down..
It IS very pretty. I love the art on RahXephon. SO much. It's really confusing at times, though that could be due to me missing an episode somewhere, but I think it's also one of those shows that likes to take it's time unfolding all of the facts in strange ways to make you really think about it. ANd there's Ramune!!! Asato has to learn how to drink Ramune. It's awesome.
Hm.. So there ya go.. That help at all? ;D I hope you get to see it sometime! I hope I get to see it again sometime! Ooooo.. I love the opening song too.. Anyway.. Yeah.. :D

Yeah, that does help some, No-chan-san! Thanks! I can handle series that start out confusing, so long as they make sense by the end! But ah, ramune? What's that? Is it that drink with the marble in the bottle? 'Cause they talked about that in the ep I saw - except Asato was explaining it to someone else. Anyway, maybe I'll get lucky and find a tape or DVD of the first couple of eps for rent!

I think it's by the same person who does Gunsmith Cats. The manga, I mean.
