My fav? Yami! *punishes herself* uh...Bakura! good hand... no hitting, :( I've got bruises all over. yeah so my fav is yam...wait!...bakura! Hes so sweet! (and cute) I love his accent. I also love how hes inocent then all of a sudden here comes yami bakura! Poor Bakura... I bet he feels so sad doing bad things when he dosent want to do them... I don't know why, but my friend likes Tristen she says hes hot. Well...hes o.k. but I like Bakura better! :P

I wasn't thrilled with it at first, but it's grown on me! :P I probably would've liked it sooner, if I was able to watch something other than the dub. Let's be frank - the dub has problems. But as for my fave character -hm, let me get back to you on that. :unsure:

It's fun to make fun of. I like it but I also love to make fun of it and as of late I've be proven that yami can be very hot so yeah it's a fun show.

I agree but I kept telling myself its not nice to make fun of anime. Bit I soon realized its O.K. and it IS funny :lol:

Me and my friend Stephanie used to love calling each other while YuGiOh! or Pokemon was on,just so we could make fun of the two shows...Please keep in mind this was before Pokemon Advanced,you know when it was acttually slightly good? :P

But yeah,we kept pondering the mysterys of Yugi/Yami's hair,trying to figure out how much gel they used,as well as why noone noticed that 'Yugi's' voice changes everytime Yami takes over,or the fact that he gets notiably taller but noone on the show notices... :lol: Also,Yugi wears sneakers,so why do they turn into boots when Yami takes control of their body? :blink:

So,yeah making fun of anime is fun!It doesn't hurt their feelings!

I never noticed until some did one of those 'ask/torture an anime character' fics,and one of the reveiwers asked that,so I began paying more attention,and lo and behold!His shoes magically change.
I wish MY shoes did that...

I have a question about the latest episode of Yugioh.Why didn't anyone attack Pegasus?He's not really considered Yugi/Yami's friend is he?

Yea, I kinda noticed that too. But I didn't think much of it, I mean, I didn't think Yugi's looked a thing like him.

But I was sort of relived when waking the dragons was over I thought it was more serious than the other seasons. But I really hated that annoying girl rebeca :angry: right when she sees yugi on t.v. she sworns in on him...for crying out loud! Yugis MINE! :D Ok mabee I havent made myself clear on who I like the most Bakura, Yami or Yugi. To make it more simple I like all of them. So I don't know what to do when I have to choose... :unsure:

I just found out something that's extremaly weird...Eric Stuart,Seto's voice actor,did Kuronue's voice in Poltrigeist Report(English version of course)!And Yugi(and Yami)'s voice actor for the first season in Japanese was Megumi Ogata!Kurama's voice actress!

Or maybe I just look way to into these things...

I meant to commen a while ago, that while the dub has its problems, it does have some really good lines (mostly belonging to Seto, I notice). I just loved this exchange:

Awesome... Now that's the Kaiba I know. I'm mostly a manga fan and I was pretty dissapointed with the anime because it turned Kaiba into a bit of a good-guy, or a lesser-of-two evils kind of bad guy. The fact that the Death-T isn't there really cuts the legs from Kaiba's general tyranny.

But preferring to stick to the manga, I have no idea who this Dartz is.

Well, at least the dub knows where it's at. (More or less.)

I'm a bit of a Yu-gi-oh snob, actually. I live in Montreal where France exports Yu-gi-oh manga translated into French. I'm bilingual, so I get cheap, better translated manga with volume numbers way farther than Viz or whoever it is in the USA who translates the Yu-gi-oh manga.

The reason I don't like the anime so much is first and foremost that the dub butchered it and second of all, without key events from the manga the story is not nearly so interesting. Bakura's introduction is very awkward and fabricated because they had to cover up for the anime's lack of episode for Bakura to properly be introduced in. In the manga he gets a story where he is the only villain and gets to have Yuugi and company all to himself to torture and maim and be evil to. (and he does in in an RPG game, how cool is that?) What little of Yuugi's early experiences with the Millenium Puzzle is unworthy of mentionning, at best, and at worst is complete bullshit, as far as the manga is concerned.
Trust me, I know. My collection of Yu-gi-oh manga is complete from volume 1 to volume 23. (And you only need volumes 1 to 15 to realize most of those flashbacks have been skewed in some way)

The reason Yuugi's most of Yuugis's friends never seem to realize there's something different about him when he duels? In the manga, they already know. They find out during the Death-T. (This doesn't apply to Mai, though, but she mostly sees him when he's duelling anyway, and Yami spent a lot more time out during Duellist Kingdom then he usually did.) Duke Devlin/Otogi Ryuuji knows because he knew about the puzzle and went out of his way to piss Yuugi off so he could test Yami.

Yami was my first anime crush. An old classmate of mine lent me Manga 6, which contains a scene in which Yami did that whole, incredibly cheezy 'I'm seriously angry now, watch me take off my shirt!' thing. (He still had his leather whatchamacallit on underneath) And as I read this I was like: "He didn't! God, that's old... and yet, strangely appealing."

On the other hand, I was rereading my manga recently, and in the manga Mai says apparently there's a rumour going around saying that Yuugi isn't the same person when he duels, so that takes care of Mai. And any other pro Magic and Wizards player, for that matter.

I think it's an anime-only thing. In the manga he's always wearing his boots.
