I can't get this!!!!! :angry: Whenever I draw Finers theres always a problem with them!!!! KILL THE FINERS!!!!!! :angry:

Do people have nails on characters? I've never really noticed till I was trying to draw a close up pic of a hand of my character. Should I also draw the three places on your finger where they bend?

Another problem is sometimes my characters look funny because they're not doing anything with their hands. So now I always have my characters doing somthing with their hands. Is this good? :(

This is up to you. It's more of what do you want to do? Do you want to more detail, some detail, or no detail? I've seen artists do all three and pull it off. I've also seen some artists try for the more detail and not pull it off.

So... I'm no help here. I say, try all three and see what works best with your style.

First of all, it's spelt "Fingers" and second of all, *shrugs* you should look at some of your manga(I HOPE you have at least ONE manga lying around) and try and copy some styles of hands. That should help you.

But I'm not done with you just yet. If you notice people's hands, then you can almost picture an outline. Then just draw the outline...or...heh...TRACE your hand. Or if you might not want to bother with it, you should stick to drawing chibis all your life.

I know how to spell fingers its just something funny sister told me about her character running into these old lady's poodles and she yelled: "(other dogs name with I forgot)! Finer!" I really got a good laugh at that, I mean, A poodle named Finer? Thats just halarius! :lol: And its said feener in cause your thinking something else. So now I call fingers finers. :P

Anway I proboby will end up drawing chibis forever... :(

But anyways,you COULD just make the hands kinda small and unnoticable...

Nope you don't want to do that - cause then you'll never get hands right.

Look at hands and do quick strokes to get the shape down. Just keep practising.

eh, im not no decent artist, and at the moment, i still can't draw no decent hands [nor can i draw no decent profile, but that'll be going off topic]. practicing helps tho. as for details, as others have said, its really up to you. i myself dont do no details beacause im lazy....not that i have actually attempted to do a close up of a hand.

Guess what!!? I'm getting better my hands still suck but they're hands! It takes me some time but I'm getting better and better! :P

I get really excited to do more drawings now so I'm drawing alot.
I'm mainly drawing my original character she has no name yet and is NOT on the path to being a marysue *joy, joy, joy* :P :D :lol:

yes nails exspecialy if a demon or cat person !!!! fingers!!! use sapes like circuls tubes midel finger is the hardest for me they some times get to long thum is shorter than figers but starts lowerand ends up at the midel of the pointerfiger and start there :mellow: :) somemore adfise mwahahahaha im soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo un helpfull :ph43r: :blink:
