I was looking aorund in the anime store near my house and they play DVDs on the television on the west wall, well I was over around that area and they had the InuYasha movie on. THe DVD box was on display and I thought, "Hey, that doesn't look like the box from when i rented it last week..." and then they started talking in english! I was like: :o OMG OMG OMG!!! IT's dubbed!! It's dubbed!!
The guys that work there know me pretty well, and thought it was funny to see me jumping up and down spazzing over it. And when they put it up for rental I'm first on the list to rent it. I'm so happy!!! It's dubbed!!!

LOL  of course it's dubbed.
They announced at that they were even going to show it in some theatres across the nation and it would be a free showing.
I posted that in my Anime Expo thread in this forum.
So yay, you can rent it!

I know! It's GREAT! We get to watch InuYasha without reading subtitles! :D

No offense to anyone, but I prefer subs to dubs. I'm just not a huge fan of english voice actors, esp. the ones in InuYasha. However, dubs are good sometimes when you really can't devote enough of your attention span to reading. But yeah, overall, I'm a subs girl.

I just got the Movie a little while ago, and I have to say that I liked it even though it kinda played out like a series of regular Inu-Yasha episodes strung together. My mom and Little sister watched it (what can I say, we're all Otaku here) and they liked it too, even though it did get a little creepy near the end.
What I thought was REALLY cool about this disc was the "All About Inu-Yasha" featurette that they included. It was REALLY long and in depth and pretty well covered most of the major events and characters from the first 50-60 episodes.

months before the dubbed version came out, i found a bootlegged subtitled dvd of the first two movies (on the same dvd) in the renting video place, and i rented it.. they were both such great movies..made me cry..
but i'm afraid of watching the dub, because dubs often suck (especially when they use moneca stori for kagome's voice..)
if i had a choice, i'd only watch the subbed version (reading the subtitles doesn't bug me, 'cause i like reading anyway!) but since i'm broke and can't get any dvds, i have to watch it on adult swim.

I think the dub of Inuyasha is really good; all the voices fit well, the dialog is good, no painful voices - as dubs go, it's very well done. :) You want a bad dub, check out Dirty Pair Flash - I'd rather listen to nails on a chalk board than Yuri's voice!

inuyasha's an okay dub except for kagome's voice..
one that's not dubbed well to me is comic party..that girl with the long red hair's voice..*twitch city*

^^ I much rather prefer the subbed Inuyasha over dubbed. The dialog annoys me. I don't think they said things like "later" and "man" in Sengoku Jidai... o.o >< And that darned Shippou, always stating the obvious...
The only voice that doesn't bother me would be Miroku's. As my friend Kitty puts it, he sounds "suave and devinaire" xD. Either I spelled that wrong, or it’s not even a real word. ^^;; Aaanyway...
o_O Strange. I ended up seeing the 2nd movie first, and then the first one, right before it came out in the US. ^o^ Yay for the gay looking moth dude" I love his little dance! xD

Well, I just bought the first movie this weekend and watched it yesterday. And, although it was quite similar to the regular anime (the way it's played out) I enjoyed it.
These were some of my thoughts (with the same theme):
"Okay, now begins the traditional hero vs protaganist swordfi- Did he just do a pirouette?!
And...
"So Miroku's fighting the girl with the sythe thing and Sango the girl with two- She's taking after her master!
Yeah, the dancing was weird. Did I mention how much I dislike Kikyo?
Anyway, that's it for my movie comments.

I got the first movie on DVD for Christmas. I liked it! I agree, it does sort of feel like several episodes squished together, but still, not bad. The bad guys did sort of dance, didn't they? And did anyone else think Menomaru's waistline was oddly. . .narrow, I guess is the word. . .compared to his shoulders and hips? Very weird.

I just got the second movie. Personally, I like it better. Inu Yasha in the future + Shippo finding someone to lord over X More of Miroku's dirty mind (and wandering hands) than you can shake a Hiraikotsu at = lotsa funnyness.
But aside from that, I say the extra features alone are worth buying the DVDs for. They sure do give you you're money's worth for these things.
