Okay, a few weeks ago, my friend Ryo-ohki lent me her [U]Night Walker[/U] DVDs. It's a twelve-episode long series, with the episodes roughly around 30 mins. each.

The main characters of are Detective Shido Tatsuhido (a vampire who has lived for hundreds of years who has memory of his life as a human); Rihou (Shido's assistant and love); Yayoi Matsunaga (Shido's partner and NOS agent) and Guuni (an urban fairy). And another character to keep in mind is Caine (Shido's former mentor and lover, the one responsibly for erasing Shido's memory after he left him).

One of the things I liked most was the way the personalities of the characters bounced off one another. Guni and Rihou are often insulting each other; Yayoi and Guni try to out smart-ass each other; Shido and Yayoi working together. There is plenty of comedy and humor, as well as drama and suspense.

The main story is about Shido and Yayoi hunting down Night Breeds and stopping them, while trying to save the humans who are possesed by them. A minor branch of the story is Shido trying to remember his past.

Now, the only down part about this series is that you don't fully find out Shido's past. You only learn a little about his mother and sister, and who changed him into a vampire. That's pretty much it. But the other epsiodes involving the night breeds make up for it. ^^

There is some mild shonen-ai, since Caine and Shido were once lovers. And there is some nudity, but what can you expect? This is vampires people! XD It's rated for viewers thirteen and up.

Bishounen? Yep! Shido and Caine are absolute bishies! *tackle glomps Shido*

~Shido Tatsuhido's English vioce actor is the same as Kenshin Himura from [U]Rurouni Kenshin[/U].

~Caine, personality and his views on mortals/life-wise are a combination of Lestat and Armand from [I[The Vampire Chronicles[/I] by Anne Rice.

I really enjoyed Nightwalker! I saw it a few months ago. Did you notice that the animation and story telling changed a bit half way thru? First of all, when you first see Cain, he is UGLY! Then in the second half he is WAY bishie! Also the first part had these innuendo jokes where I was like, "HEE-hee that is funny......HEY!!" They weren't in the second part. At the end of the first part Yayoi has a problem with her co-workers, then the second part happens and it is like nothing ever happend, and I think she even died her hair! I'm not sure at what happened there, but just go with it! ;) It is still a good show.

Oh and I agree, I love the opening song~!

It's great and the design for Cain does change half way through and so do the sub-plots . . . I never noticed before I was to busy swooning over Shido :lol:

yep Shido has the ability to easily distract people with his bishiness! lol I'm just rather observant! :lol:

But, yeah, I still like the show even with the changes half-way through. And I love the opening song!

I was a little freaked at the last episode I thought for sure that it wasn't a dream.
It scared me :(

Yeah I figured that but it really confused me the first time I watched it cause one minute it's one way then the next it's another. :blink:

I liked the episode with the girl that wasn't really a human... or maybe it just stood out to me...
Yeah... and even though the last episode was freaky... I enjoyed it! ^_^

I liked that one too but I also liked the one with the "angel" that was good but it could have ended very diffrently.

In that situation, I'd probably slap him abside the head if he tried to kiss me... The even more interesting thing is... is that I'd trust his monster form more that his "angel" form... I just don't really trust hot guys...

Yeah we just don't know whats going through their minds they could be nice vampires trying to help us with our problems . . . or trying to kill us by seducing us with their good looks and lack of clothing <_<

Me-thinks it's all in the upbringing. -_-

:lol: LMFAO! That's probably it! The vampire girls probably said that they didn't like a man who gave material gifts for love. They wanted the real thing!

And the nightbreed girls wanted something that actually already had a body of it's own bonus if it's a good looking one :lol:

When I saw Nightwalker I rented the DVDs and I've been wanting to rent them again. But now I don't have too!! Best Buy had both DVDs for 14.99 ea!! SCORE!! Yep, I got them!! :lol:

.... I have three VHS... I didn't even know about Nightwalker... All I saw was a cute guy on the front, and on the back it said something about vampires... I was sold. ^_^ Yes... And what do you ask got me hooked on vampires?

I haven't seen Night Walker, but my sis really wants to. We rented a DVD some time ago(forgot what it was) and it have short previews to other animes. There was Night Walker,(Aye fell in love with Shido at first sight, made me watch the clip over...and over...and over...) Maze, ...ack! Something to do with Angles and Sacrafice or something...AHA! Angle Sanctuary! Thats it! :D
Well, later we went to the mall in Columbus, and there it was! Night walker on VHS!

Angel Sanctiary is the bomb :lol:
You have to forgive me I love any thing that has to do with Angels and Demons but Angel Sanctuary is one of the best!!!!
Sure the relation ship is a little weird but you have to look beyond that.
