Someone in the Bishounen Book asked the question "Why don't we choose more well known bishounen for Bishi of the Month?" I thought I'd address that here and tell you guys a bit about why we made it and what our goal is.

First off, we did it simply because, hey, we love bishounen and we love to talk about our favorite ones. But, we just didn't want to run around and say we love bishounen. We're trying to spread the joy to other fangirls and also, to broaden the bishounen horizon of the fangirl community. The main goal of BOM is to make people aware of lesser known shows and lesser known Bishounen who should be as loved as some of the main stream ones because they're so cute!

I mean, what's so fun about featuring Duo or Bakura because everyone already knows who they are? Though probably we may dip into the mainstream from time to time because just because they're on Saturday morning television it doesn't mean we like them even less.

But again, the main reason for the BOM is to make other fangirls aware of what and who is out there waiting to be discovered. Thus, we search for the illusive "Lesser-Known Bishounen"
