Yes, it is indeed true. There is going to be a squel to FF7. There's another topic about this on the main forum, but I didn't know if people on fem-gri-la boards had seen it so I'm posting here. *clears throat* It going to be a dvd movie sequel to the game FF7. It's 60 minutes long and take place 2 years after the game. If you want to know more here's a site that has a TON of info on it. hm... sounds like the plot of "Chicago"... only that was a chick... pff... I honestly didn't mourn the loss of Aeris much. I thought she was whiny and girly. :P which... I suppose isn't neccessarily bad. I think a lot of guys go for that, but I thought Tifa was way cooler. When things get bad, she didn't sit and pout, she fought back! "oooh but *cry cry* Aeris' mother was killed and she doesn't have any family!" hm... well, Tifa, does that sound familiar? It wasn't like your family was killed by a psychotic dude who lit the town on fire or anything like that. *sarcasm there... * anyway, yeah. as for the killer, our favorite white haired hottie, well, I think you can't really blame the guy. If anyone should be blamed, it's gotta be Hojo for experimenting on him when he was just a baby and raising the poor kid without an ounce of love or compassion. So that when something like Jenova comes along and makes him feel like all his suffering was because he was special or because he was different and better, it gives him something to cling to I guess. and definitely something to strike back against. Hojo was just... not cool. plus he shot vincent. and made him all dark and bishy... but still.... anyway... yeah. so... there's my little rant... makes me wanna play that game again...

I agree with you, I did not like Aeris, Tifa kicked *ss!! But Sephiroth was evil down to what he pretended was a soul. He was was the Ancients were trying to heal the earth from! If he had not been Experimented on by Hojo, then he still would have been evil because that is his nature, which is the entire reason Hojo was using his as he was, BECAUSE of what he was. Don't get me wrong! Sephiroth is by FAR the COOLEST FF Bad Guy! I just think that he is evil and not to be Lusted after! :ph43r:

Well, P-chan, you are entitled to your opinion. No what which way you turn the cake, it's still a cake, right? In other words, Sephiroth will always be hot and lusted after. The fact that he is evil just makes him sexier ^_^ Well, I agree with you guys that Tifa is way cooler than Aeris, which is why I was going to dress up as her in the next convention (I-Con) but my friends can't go so I'll have to wait till AnimeNext in June. I never really had any hate feelings toward Aeris, it's Yuffie I really don't like. She's so childish and doesn't belong with the adults. That's my opinion. I could do without her.

I was kind of disappointed though, that none of the secret characters ever appear in the fmv shots. we just get little chibi vincent and then the "official art" stuff of him. Seph, i dunno what about him I think is so cool, but he's just... I dunno, really awesome. I loved the flashback part where you get to battle with him. so cool. (you know with a gameshark you can actually have him on your team for battles? woo!) totally sweet. Maybe it all goes back to that "Good girls like Bad Boys" thing... not that I'm neccessarily good... ;) I think i'm the "evil" one, right? heh... anyway, Cloud is totally cool too, no denyin' that. I think I still have an old sleeveless turtleneck I bought just 'cause it looked just like Cloud's! I love how in FFVII:AC, they made his hair look like it's actually POSSIBLE. awesome.

Advent Children finally has a release date in Japan.

Square-Enix has announced that it will release Advent Children on DVD in Japan on September 14th for 4800 yen. No news about a North American release"

And don't forget, Square-Enix has finally decided to bring Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis to the US (sometime in '06).

Not to forget Dirge of Cerberus which has an official Japanese site now...

And, of course, we also have the Final Fantasy XII release date

So, 2006 is gonna be a big year for Square-Enix, wouldn't be surprised if Advent Children hit the US in early '06 too (but here's for -hoping- they're smart and release it here 'fore Christmas).
