I love this anime! The charas. are not the typical type, they are hot, and one story-line happening in the plot doesn't just drag on forever! Stuff actually gets done! Demons also interest me...I just really wub it good ^^

they are not hot!! They are UGLY bishounen - I read that in a review and I laughed because it is true.
Well, I always thought Goku was cute though. The show is funny! So that makes up for the ugliness.

Sanzo...Yes. He has the face of a disturbed catfish!! *ponders this* Yes indeed. But....Gojyo IS kind of hot....And, they are better than any of the would-be partially not-really semi-hot DBZ people, no offense... O.o I love how Goku and Gojyo argue! And how Sanzo randomly beats things w/ his ?? *What is that paper fan of his called?? I'm having a brainfart as I just woke up*

I think pretty much all of us here love Saiyuki. I know Pan-Pan and I LOVE Saiyuki with all that is in us especially. It's a great show. The characters are SO funny and they react so well to each other. Saiyuki also has an awesome dub.
Though I would have to disagree with PoisonTongue on the plot thing. The main story line drags on FOREVER. The first season of Saiyuki is 50 odd episodes. And I haven't seen all of the first season, but thanks to Pan-Pan, I've seen the first three eps of Saiyuki Reload (the second season) And what are the Sanzo party doing 50 episodes later? THE EXACT SAME THING! I think they're doing it on purpose! They really don't want to ever get there, they're just procrastinating. Little punks. ;)

Yes...I haven't seen that much of it. See what happens when I try to be worldly? Not cool ~.~ Anywho, yes, the dub is great. The voices fit very well, I think, with the chara personalities and such.

Lmao...That sounded very puffy-esque with the man-whore ness and such...Who doth not want the movie of great excellentness? *pushes all the people that don't into a tiny box* Ah, I was just looking for pix of them...Found a nice one at Anime Visions. Made Sanzo look hot. Hehehehe.

The saiyuki guys are so ugly! It's like the animators don't know how to draw or something, since the characters always look disfigured or something. ^_^'''' However, I still found it pretty interesting. I only watched the 1st DVD though, which reminds me, I need to watch the rest of it....

*giggles* heeee *nod nod* but we luvs our ugly bishounen! lol... it does take some getting used to. the artist has a very different style O.o when i first saw it, it was in the newtype and it had that um... bondage poster to go with it... so i took a look at it and was like... "the only one even a little good looking is the pink haired dude..." but then i started reading the manga and actually broke down and bought the first dvd. much fun ^.^

Yeah, I totally agree. I had a HARD time getting used to the art of Saiyuki. Blame the creator of the manga. That's just how he draws. I still shudder when I see Sanzo now and then. Man, he's creepy! The ugliest of the ugly bishounen. But, I think they look a bit more like real people. The style kind of gives a charm to the characters who are certainly anything but prissy little girly bishounen who wouldn't dream of getting their hands dirty. The style fits the characters, I think. It's certainly an aquired taste and I love it!
*gives cudos to chinoumi for reading Vampire Game* That manga rocks!

I didn't have a hard time getting used to it becasue I was intrigued by the story.
I first saw it a few years back when No-chan, Kime and I went to Reno and San Fran. The sister of the girl we were stayed with had it and we watched like the first 5 episodes. I didn't think I would get to see the rest, but I can now!

*is ashamed* I bought it because...It was ON SALE FOR HALF OFF at Suncoast. And the plot looked cool. But...I loved it even in the first 5 minutes! It was the best choice anime I have ever got. *nodnod8
